Will Pope be smart enough to not play Williams or will the ship sink with him?

Amari is a good one, lets hope he continues to produce good stats.
Just like all the players that came to UK, they are learning a new offense and what Coach requires his big men to do in the game.
Lot of self appointed know nothing experts bad mouthing a key member of this team.
Heck, this thread title only makes sense if you're trying to limit his chance of injury from playing. Lets hope to God he remains healthy and improve rebounding and blocking shots.
Williams is one of the best passing big men I’ve ever seen. But at 7 feet tall, there are going to be some miscues when he’s being a pseudo point guard and Pope gets that. He’s a huge plus on this team and anyone who doesn’t see that doesn’t know basketball.

It’s that prisoner of the moment mentality so many have these days.
We have several fans who are ready to yank scholarships if a guy has one bad game.
In my opinion, Butler and Williams are the two most important players on this team by a pretty wide margin.

I’d add Oweh to the “most important players” list but otherwise I agree.
I love these arm chair coaches who make these statements only to get proven wrong time and time again.

He has definitely picked up his defense but that is a bad habit of his.
I tell you we fight amongst ourselves more than against the other fan bases. Some of these players it took a little time to develop example Williams and looks like Chandler now too. Hopefully Garrison comes along because he’s having a rough go of it lately. We just all need to get along and cheer our boys on because we are all UK here!
What the heck happened to sticking with our guys through thick and thin? This new breed of "fan" is a strange lot for sure. I've had the displeasure of not being able to watch the last two games live but have listened to Leach and Goose and Amari is coming around no doubt. Even before that, it has been obvious to anyone that has eyes that Amari is a very talented big man. He's rounding into form right now. That inconsistency earlier was dead nuts expected considering where he came from and who he played for previously. I've personally never seen a big man here that can faciltate like he can. It's really a glorious thing to watch. I can't wait to watch the game when I get up.

Garrison has had his moments this year too. We need him to play his best down the stretch though!
