Our schedule is insane. Going on a nice win streak looks damn near impossible.

So, simple question, will UK have a 4 game winning streak during SEC play?

I doubt it, but that isn't an indictment on UK. The league is just unbelievable this year and our ranked road games are spread out enough that going on a 4 game win streak would be incredibly challenging. After looking at our schedule, I would say the next 3 games would be the best chance, and even then it's probably a low possibility.

Right, not a dig at our team at all. Schedule is just a gauntlet. Any time it looks like there are a couple “easier” games, at Bama or at UT is next up.

I say this hoping we get the win tonight and not overlooking Georgia but that Mississippi State game Saturday night, that one is scary. We win that game along with a Georgia win tonight and I think we definitely separate ourselves from all but maybe two other SEC teams in getting an SEC title, if everyone stays healthy. All the talk of some of the people in the SEC this year like Lanier at UT, Broome at Auburn but Hubbard terrifies me more than any player.
Also, just trivia and no impact on Saturday's game but Pope's teams were 64-7 the two years he played. Only one school got more than 1 win against UK and that was Mississippi State. They were our only loss at home (and the only loss Pope has had at Rupp as player or coach so far) in 1995 and, of course, the 1996 SEC Tournament championship where that was the only blemish along with the second game loss to UMass. Pope owes them.

As tough as the SEC is, especially on the road, I would say there is a better chance of a 4 game losing streak than a 4 game winning streak. (Kidding of course, being a bit facetious.)

Not being pessimistic, just looking at the strength of the conference.

I doubt anyone has a 4 game win streak this year in the conference. Maybe Auburn or Tennessee. I don’t think anyone else could, just looking at the league.

The SEC is 132-3 at home this season. They were 7-1 this weekend.

A win streak is going to be tough to have when you have to go on the road at least once in a four game stretch.

I think if you want to be optimistic, here is a four game win streak that seems feasible:

2/8 vs SCAR
2/11 vs TENN
2/15 @ TEX
2/19 vs VANDY

Agreed.

UT, even at home, is going to be tough, though.

At Texas is not going to be easy, but it looks winnable.
