Will Canada or Watkins score tonight?

The fact i think were going to blow vandy out probably means they somehow win the game so probably not.
I think in the 2000's, only 3 UK teams have not had a single Walk-on point scored, they are:
18-19 team (David played 14 minutes that season)
19-20 team (Welch, Jordan & Canada combined for 7 minutes)
23-24 team (Darbyshire, Watkins, Canada & Horn have combined for 18 minutes)

Well, if anyone could carry a teammate on his back as he drives to the hole, it would be Thiero.

I've never understood how any walk-on could sit the bench at any school for 4 years.
I guess I was too competitive playing sports for that. If given the chance I would have 100% walked on at UK for a year or two. But eventually I'd wanna play.
If a guy like Canada is good enough to walk on at UK. He is definitely good enough to start at say the NAIA level.

I’m not sure I understand what happened with Canada tonight, maybe it was covered in another thread. They didn’t even mention him as being one of the players being honored for senior night on the network broadcast when they talked about Watkins, Reeves, and Mitchell.
I was there. He was not mentioned at all in the ceremony, he did not come through a paper hoop, and he did not start. Maybe he has a COVID year and will go through things next year?
I think you’re overestimating how good some of these kids are. We have had some decent walk-ons, but we’ve had sone bad ones too. A lot of these walk-ons are there for a reason outside of their basketball ability. For example:
Watkins bc of his connection to the Wagner’s. He averaged 8.7ppg his senior year of HS.
Darbyshire is here bc of his dad’s connection to the Cal Canp’s and role in NIL. He averaged 2.5ppg his senior year of HS….that’s not a typo.
He went through senior day ceremony last year, told Cal he didn’t want to do it again cause he thought it wouldn’t be fair.
I heard that since he went through the ceremony last year, he decided he wasn't going to do it again this year.
