Hubert doesn’t coach defense. That’s why they won’t win anything. UNC mounted a great comeback, but they only turned KU over 4 times for the entire game. That’s just not gonna cut it against anybody good. And KU is a good team now that HD is back. Harris is the heart and soul of that team though. He goes down they are screwed. Even with him they are nowhere near #1 though. Adams isn’t Ochai Agbaji. He isn’t even Kevin McCullar.

Yeah that’s why I said Arkansas would have gotten ran had Kansas been at full strength last week.

They either look like world beaters or trash. They are a team of runs under Hubert for sure. Kansas would definitely smash Arkansas at full strength just like I said last week.
Arkansas wasn’t at full strength either but yeah they looked a lot better tonight. Hard to tell much from exhibition outcomes.

UNC is the correct answer, but my wife is a huge KU fan, so, for the good of our marriage, I have to be on the KU side tonight. I'm AM hoping for a few turned ankles, though.
No it’s not. ABCD is.

Yeah it’s give the ball to Davis and hope he does something

I just looked at Davis' stats for the game. He was 3 of 15 from the field and 1 of 7 from 3!! His bright spot was 9 of 11 from the FT line. I will never forget that horrible shot that he took at the end of the national title game when UNC had multiple chances but were so disorganized that they completely imploded.

True but that guy has made more than his fair share of prayers at the end of games, you still go to him imo.

Interesting take. I recall a game in which Sheray Thomas had been hot in the first half and Tubby had chosen him to take the last shot. He was wide open and missed an easy shot close to the basket. Some players do handle pressure better than others.

I certainly want my best player under pressure taking the last shot unless he is having a bad game and then maybe not. At any rate, it is a good discussion.

If Aaron Harrison is 0/5 from deep and we need a game winner, bet your biscuits I'm calling his number if I'm the coach. Some guys just have it in the moment, and unless you've got another guy who has demonstrated the clutch gene multiple times, you've gotta go with your best proven commodity. They may miss but that's still my decision as a coach.

Davis would have had to be airballing on all his misses that game for me to even rethink it, and depending on my roster I'm probably still calling his number.
