Ok Cat fans, let's see whatcha got...

I am going to challenge you to make some pre-season predictions. I am going to save the thread and post it again after the season. I got this idea when I saw everybody (or a lot) slamming Phil Steele and thought, "I wonder how much better some of these guys would do?" Now you get to prove it and I think it will be a lot of fun.

1. Make your east and west final outcome predictions for the SEC.

Should this be final since these have already been published?
yes… Predicting that top 10 at the end of the year. I’ve seen several say the reporters don’t really know what they are talking about, so I wanted to test everybody’s knowledge against those reporters knowledge. :) Just something I thought would be a lot of fun to pull up at the end of the year. :)

Every year ESPN over blows and over-rates the Big 10 ,,Every year ! There is really only one team in the Big 10 and it is Ohio St. and even though UGA will take a small step back there is no way the Buckeyes will get past them much less Bama !
You also have Arkansas as 10 they will get Beat up pretty bad in the SEC west this year and would be surprised to see Pittman on the hot seat at the end of the year !
Well maybe not hot but getting warm

I'm also very surprised that no one is picking UK to end the year in the top 10 ! Is UK trash this year ? Do we have a chance to win the East ? Does our Defense have the best depth and overall talent that we have ever had ? Is our Offense set to have one of our best performances ever ? Come on Cat Fans

Well maybe not hot but getting warm

I agree on the top 10. I will just agree with your top 2 rankings in each division...do not really care about the rest as long as UK finishes top 2. I agree on Alabama winning the conference (shocking lol).

I do not agree on UK beating FL & UT as both games are on the road. I will have to believe it to see it.

West: Alabama, Arkansas, TAMU, MSU, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn
East: UGA, UK, UT, UF, USC, Mizzou, Vandy

SEC Champ: Bama

Not gonna pretend to know enough nationally to rank a top 10.

I am surprised so many have Carolina ahead of UF. I understand they beat UF last year, but Mullen and the entire team had already quit on each other. And they added some players who should help them, but their OL was bad and their DL under performed as much as any group in the SEC. I think they still have the same coaches.

Pittman is about the furthest away from the hot seat you can get after last year even if this year ends up only being 6-6 instead of the expected 8-9 wins.

Agreed, I think Pittman and Stoops have two of the coolest seats in the conference.

Also, I trust in Pittman at this point. He has played a murderous schedule and is winning big games. Is he going to go 12-0 or 11-1? No. But I predict 10-2 or 9-3.

Arkansas loaded up in the portal this off season, had some big time players come back for a super senior year. At worse I think they end up 3rd, could be 2nd. Don't think they have much shot at Bama, but gotta play the game.

I predict that halfway through the season, the media-darling Gamecocks will 3-3 (0-3) after the Kentucky Wildcats kick their asses for the 8th time in the last nine years.
