I saw Perry play twice this week on a very well-coached Lyon County team.
Hard for me to project him to KY level, but he can flat-out shoot. I saw him make 16 straight 3’s in warm-ups. Good ball-handler and passer. Not ultra-quick, but effective off the bounce. He does not hunt shots or points, definitely a team player. Looks for others. Good hands, tough kid, but not a great leaper. Plays very hard and does not pout for calls. Seems like a humble, classy kid. I really like him and am glad we have him. Could be wrong, but he seems closer to 5’11”than 6’2” … kinda short. Perhaps the game has changed, but if Travis Ford and Patrick Sparks can play here and be effective, I think Perry can. We’ll see …
Here are highlights of his match-up with Reed Sheppard in the same tournament last year.
