So you ask for 5 examples, and 5 were given. Now you're wanting 5 more examples, and when you get those, you're gonna just keep going or finnlly admit you're wrong?
Jerry Tipton has been disrespecful to countless coaches and players. Some of the questions I used to listen to him ask perry Stevenson were just low down. You keep being the smart guy in the room. I wouldn't give you one more, and I know plenty.
I would argue having a guy like Tipton around helps UK keep its nose clean because you know he HAS to be digging in every dumpster on that campus.
I also think some of you prefer your UK news to be homerific. You want a homer local media? Root for the Cards.

I've personally never argued for "homerism" and I don't know many that do. Sounds like a straw man.

What is the protocol for reporters asking questions at pressers? I ask this because every presser, Tipton always is the first reporter to ask a question. Always. Is it a tenure issue? Do other reporters defer to Tipton due to his HOF status?
Anybody that buys that rag of a newspaper is supporting Tipton. If enough people, and more importantly enough businesses that advertise in the HL get fed up with Tipton's antics, then and only then does he get sent packing.
I would argue Sandy Bell does FAR more to help UK "keep its nose clean" than Jerry friggin Tipton.
Don't really know what having a homer type reporter around UK would be like as it hasn't happened yet. Tipton and the LHL wouldn't shed a single tear if they could find some huge cover-up or conspiracy surrounding UK that would get them in the running for their next Pulitzer Prize in journalism. They don't give two craps about UK or the program. It's a source of a story for them and when it isn't sensational enough, they just create a story.
Having a homer local media doesn't seem to have hurt the Tards in the least.
Saw it first-hand...during Drunk mans second innersqaud scrimmage. While all the fans were busy watching the beginning of the action the dork sat done right behind me and asked Ramon Harris's father to identify which player Kevin Galloway was. He's obviously not good at his job and the Basketball Writers HOF must be as difficult to be selected to as Facebook friends.
The question I have is how does the Herald Leader justify his paycheck? I have not bought the Herald in years solely because of Tipton. I am sure there are many others like me who feel the same. I guarantee subscriptions would go up substantially if they fired Tipton and hired KSR to cover UK sports for them.
Nobody is saying it has to be homerific,but you'd think that the local newspaper would be more friendly to the local team instead of the constant negativity spewed by Tipton and the LHL,I cancelled my subscription to that rag several years ago and persuade everyone I can to dump them as well until they change their Anti-UK policy.
The LHL is the only local paper that constantly bashes the local University in the country.
It is too late to do anything with him now. He should have been run out of town 25 years ago. The people of Lexington and Central Kentucky are to blame. They buy the newspapers. So the only way to change things is to not make it profitable for them to keep him on the payroll
I think it's pretty common knowledge that Mitch isn't a fan of Cal; this might be his way (Sandy Bell or not) to "keep Cal in check." I know how ridiculous that reads/sounds, but it might be the reason. Besides, wasn't Tipton involved in "THE" scandal somehow?

100% correct. I have zero issue with reporters trying to do their job honestly. I actually think Bozich and Crawford have been doing that recently. But Tipton is a piece of ****.
