Why is thers till so many ULL tickets left?

Why is this important? Where alcohol sales are banned, it is done for 2 very good reasons. To make the drive home after the game safer for everyone. And to allow fans in the stadium who aren't drunk to have a fun afternoon or evening, free from the unpleasant experience of being seated close to drunk fans. Sober people get tired of having drunk fans screaming obscenities in front of their kids, having beer thrown on them. Can we just agree to spend a couple of sober hours watching Kentucky play football, or is that too much to ask? Come on.
Sober people don't scream obscenities?

I was ready to let this thread go, until I read your load of crap above. As a lifelong Kentuckian and a UK grad, I am pleased with the progress made by the University in all areas across the board. What UK grad/supporter wouldn't be?

My grip over the years, which reached its zenith after 8 years of Rich Mitch, is the crisis-management approach to the UK FB program. The way funds brought in by the FB program were repeatedly siphoned off to support Barnhart's and Todd's quest for all-sports recognition or in years past some other AD's wet dream was a disservice to the FB program and to thousands of us season ticket holders. Unfortunately, so many of you Barnharters want to hold Barnhart up on a pedestal. I, for one, find that disgusting!
Barnharter, as if supporting your athletic director is a bad thing. Im a Capiloutoer, Stoopser, Caliparier and Towleser too. I will always support and defend Administration, coaches, and players against ignorant haters.

The millienials are a lazy bunch. With the advent of 65-85 inch HD TV's, this generation would just as soon stay home with
beer and food at 1/2 the price and watch with their friends on TV!! Sad but true. My son and his friends are in late 20's and they
did this even when they were at UK!!

Sad...but it is a free country

Anything over $20.00 per seat is a waist of money until this program starts producing 9-12 wins consistently every year.

And right on cue, because I am a season ticket holder, this morning I got an email from UK ticket office offering to sell me tickets for $25 to the ULL game

That's an interesting but irrelevant twist. I'm sure a lot of people just can't get through the afternoon without a couple of beers. But a whole lot more don't want their families and kids having to listen to drunk fans. When you consider the added safety of having all drivers being sober in the traffic flow after the game, this is a no-brainer.

it would be nice for tickets to only be $20.00. But...

We are suppose to pay our coaches at the top level of the SEC. Have the nicest and newest facilities in the conference ect: we just need to keep the ticket prices down to 1980 levels. Yes it would be nice, but there is no way that will work even with the TV money we get from the league.

I understand that....100%....Guess i should of said that in my opinion it's not more than $20 per seat until this program starts producing 9-12 win season.

Oh give me a break, not this blame Joker shatzu again! How about blaming probation of Hal Mumme first? And then work chronologically to Joker?
Hooked
Name the facts that are wrong, most of them came from UK budgets, etc at the time. What has Tubman and Joker's situation got to do with the situation, what is it that I should have to refute? My facts were not defending Joker, and no, I did not say that Joker would have been (or should have been) allowed to stay, maybe two NONE CONFERENCE wins can be defended when rebuilding (Claiborne had zero his first year and led us to a much rarer bowl game after that) but not when you are coming off bowl seasons------and I think he lost a lot of player support by not giving the team a chance to win their bowl game, whoever suspended Hartline cost the whole team, not just Hartline.

Did mitch have to wait his turn when doing all the other improvements with the money the football program brought in, and isn't he the face of UK athletics, does he deserve none of the blame? If he is just a PR man he was a big failure at that, as pointed out before, and you don't remember the long thread about fans on here saying they wouldn't donate anything to any UK programs because of the way he ran the KFund?

Of course fans were willing to donate to football projects, they finally had some support from UK for the program they love.

You know, if he had just been guilty of a few of the offenses I pointed out it would be one thing, but the list of his failures in our football program is long in both their number and their duration.

Was everyone remotely connected with UK athletics just dumb, did they not notice the tremendous increase in interest in football AND the money it brought in, wasn't he supposed to be the ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, shouldn't he have pointed out those facts to them?

Joker should be thanked for what he done but to be fair it started the last couple of years under Brooks, which was the total behind the scenes breakdown of the program. UK was totaly okay with the stadium and training facility(remember all the threads people defending the facilities) they where okay with being 5-7, 6-6. It took a total disaster to change things.

You are right. But we live in a society where a whole lot of people have adopted an entitled mentality. They don't have to do the management math, but it is their duty to criticize those who do it.

At $20 a ticket the program would be going to 1AA to play football like Otis was considering before they had a AD that was willing to step up with the financial backing to hire a visionary like Howard Schnellenburger and they haven't looked back since for the most part..If you want this it is going to cost $$$$$ and unfortunately we have to many fans who feel like this about football , but not basketball

Sober people don't scream obscenities?

I went to the UK-ND basketball game at Freedom Hall a few years back, and it was brutal. It was like UK fans were trying booze for the first time in their lives, they were all chit faced drunk rolling in the aisles. It was embarrassing. You can drink 24/7 pretty much, why not take a break from drinking to watch a game?

Oh really.....If you don't mind me asking... Where exactly could a guy get them for $25.00
And right on cue, because I am a season ticket holder, this morning I got an email from UK ticket office offering to sell me tickets for $25 to the ULL game

Season ticket holders apparently received an email about tickets for $25.00

We've had at least 2 total disasters every decade since Bear Bryant left.

Jones said there are still 4000 tickets left according to his sources. That is a really surprising number. I'm sure Labor Day weekend has something to do with it but that's alot of tickets left. We'll be close by gametime but I don't believe it's gonna be a sellout.

There are about 5500 tickets that have to be held for visitors and can't be sold as season tickets. They can't sell these until the visiting team returns the unsold ones. There were less than 1400 season tickets unsold, and I believe the students have bought their allotment. It only makes sense that what is left for Saturday is primarily visiting tix, which would explain why there are some lower level available.

meh, it'll look 99% full for those watching at home on Sat night. confident the UF, Mizzou, Auburn, UT, UL games will be standing room only packed houses.

A quick count of the available spots on Ticketmaster tells me that there are <100 tickets remaining. It'll be a sellout.
