I'm not sure I follow? He's just making projections and I don't know that anyone really has ever put much stock in which region he assigns a team to. That being said, the West Region is usually the weakest.

I wouldn't worry. He usually gets the teams right and is pretty close on seeding but rarely gets the matchups/regions right. In fairness, that's probably the hardest thing to get right.

He is horrible at where teams go and even at seeds for the most part. What he can do though is tell you who is in and who is out . He usually gets all but 1 or 2 at the most correct.

The challenge is that a few conferences will dominate the top 4 seeds and they will have to be spread out.

By the time you get to the 4 line, it can be pretty restrictive. Duke can't go with UNC or Miami. Iowa St. can't go with KU, Oklahoma, or WVU. That sort of thing.

UK could get forced West by default, even if we are the top 4 seed.

I could be wrong. But I'm pretty sure he has way too early bracketologies every year. Then the recruits come to fruition, then he makes another too early bracketology, I could be wrong but is that not like his real life job? Year round bracketology? If he does something else then I wasn't aware (nor care enough to look it up).

Which isn't even hat impressive, if you think about it, because there are really only a handful of teams in contention for a few spots each year. I'll bet most of the reasonable posters on this board could do just as well picking the the field of 68.
