Why do we not even attemp to block a FG?

Didn’t we deflect a FG against Missouri a game ago? Do you honestly think we don’t try to get penetration? How often does a team block a FG? It’s not like it’s a common occurrence.

Because we never take risks- in Buttermilks brain he sees roughing the kicker or punter in his head or a fake field goal. Everything is about being cautious- that’s why we don’t throw over the middle crossing/slant routes - way to risky for Stoops

Basketball can't start soon enough for our fans. Football is way too much for some of y'all to figure out.

Not worth the risk most the time if it’s inside 40 yards. The kicker can easily get good trajectory so it’s difficult to get to and you run a huge risk of roughing the kicker to extend the drive or selling out for the block and opening yourself up for a fake that goes for 6 once teams catch on that you’re sending the house.

Only worth going after the kick in game winning situations where a made FG wins the game or when it’s a 45+ (I’d argue 50+) yarder and the kicker is trying to maximize his distance so he’s kicking it lower
