Oweh, Chandler, Williams, Noah, Lewis....and looking at another scoring combo guard. That is six people for the perimeter.

Impatient is the least of our problems. Some of our fans would prefer to have guys that can’t shoot, bolt after one season, and lose in the first round, but hey! At least they were top 10 out of high school.
And heck, even some of the front court players we are recruiting shoot 30%+ plus from the perimeter. But if they aren’t career 45% from the 3 point line our mentally incompetent fan base just isn’t satisfied.

We need more guys who can drive and pass if we are going to get the three point attempts per game that Pope has talked about. I think we will see that a greater emphasis on that and defense. No more statues who can shoot threes but not do anything else.
Berea type players don't grow on trees.... Pope will find his guys.

It’s why I always try to remind people to consider there is a difference between trolls and overzealous fans. There are at least two posters here I’d truly consider bad faith trolls here. Most of the other posters are just fans who kind of vent their frustration. Nothing deserving of hostility, not saying I don’t pushback myself but always try to do so respectfully

Annoying listening to fans talk about getting portal superstars and they loved Oweh this season. Our fans think 36% is awful from 3 lol.
I want the best players available too but the difference in most of these guys in the portal is very little. It's about situation and coaching them

Absolutely man, and that’s why we couldn’t get enough attempts last year. People want a bunch of 40 percent shooters but a lot of those guys can’t get their own. We got both now

After the sweet 16 loss I was torn apart by saying I love Pope but he still hasn’t proven he can get the studs needed. Now the sky is falling for everyone. Which one is it?
Ever heard of Yaxel Lendeborg ? He can shoot it from anywhere, not a major 3 point shooter, but a SCORER. He can shoot though. Jaron Pierre ? He only shot 38% from 3 on 7.6 attempts, making 2.9 per game. Lamar Wilkerson ? Those guys are pretty damn good shooters. Wilkerson is the best shooter in college basketball. Wilkerson ONLY averaged 45% from 3 on high volume, 7.7 attempts per game, 3.4 makes. When was the last time UK has a guy MAKE over 3 3s per game ?
Not to mention the kid from Monmouth, Abdi Bashir ? He only made 127 3s last year, made 10 in one game against Rutgers. he shoot 38% on 10.1 attempts per game, making nearly 4 per game. Cut down on the volume / bad 3's (he won't shoot near 10 per game at UK), his % will only go UP. But nah, we are not going after shooters.
Dix shoot 42% on 5.8 attempts per game. Maybe he wasn't interested in UK, can't make him sign here.

Pretty clear the staff is trying to prioritize length, size and athleticism on the perimeter in addition to shooting, gotta have those SEC athletes and defensive abilities in addition to the shooting.

Building for the SEC schedule and the NCAA Tournament, not to beat U6 and their five guards. We will have shooters, but also will be more dynamic. Can see us resembling this years Auburn team in design.
