I don’t think you understood the question.

I understood--just submitted additional names not previously listed.

Educational list for those not aware of great players BEFORE the 80s.

Wes Unseld must be on any city list
Kelly Coleman must be on any "country boy" list

The thread was about UK players from Louisville and other parts of the state. You named more players that did not play for UK than did.

These work for me..Although Beard, Hagan and Ramsey were very good players in their time period. Never forget Padgett's three to beat Duke--IIRC and of course Rex's breakout party against U6 :thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:. I still have the VCR of that game.

I might be able to come up with 5 UofL guys but I wouldnt even know what position they played. I dont think their players in football or basketball outside of a handful of big name guys ie Lamar Jackson or Darrell Griffith really stick in the minds of UK fans who live outside Jefferson County. Nwora is the only name I can recall on their team this year and thats because I watched the first half of their game the other night. This isnt meant as a diss or anything, just a simple statement. I dont like them but outside of the 2 games a year we play them in that Im actually emotionally invested in, I couldnt care less about what theyre doing or who their players are, much less remember their names.

That’s gold right there..

You should also ask for top 3 and a half players from Sandy Hook.
Heard that. While we're at it, let's name the 2 and a half from Cowtown! Larry Conley was close. Just a few miles outside of Cowtown.

I haven't noticed Patrick Sparks mentioned. I'm pretty sure he fits the criteria/guidelines, even though he did play at Western Kentucky.

I'll never forget his Western team coming into Rupp and beating our 2002 squad in the first game of that season. Which makes me wonder, is Sparks the only player to beat UK in Rupp ahd then transfer in to play at UK? I've always wondered that. I might need @JonScott to answer that question. I believe that's his handle anyway.

I was going to put Sparks in the list too. Plus an honorable mention for Cameron Mills who wasn’t born but was raised in the Commonwealth. Two lights out shooters that hit some BIG shots.
