This is kind of important to me. I just found out that the USC game is going to be the reunion and honors for the 1974-75 UK national runner-up team. I would be there with bells on, but I am having knee replacement surgery on Feb. 3.
I need someone to get video of the ceremony and any photos of the events surrounding it and send them to me. I really really need this. UK generally doesn't do a great job documenting these things.
FYI, I was a UK freshman that year and played in the Pep Band that got to play at the Mideast Regional when we beat #1 undefeated Indiana and then at the Final Four. It was a legendary moment when we played My Old Kentucky Home during the warmups before the regional final. Coach Hall credited us with firing up the team to pull off the upset. We were told not to expect a trip to that Final Four as it was in San Diego. But Coach Hall insisted we go, and even put us on the team plane and in the team hotel. I was one of only two freshmen that went. It was and still is a very big deal in my life.
