My darkhorse candidate is Scott Padgett. 1998 regional final. 1999 second round. He hit some money balls.

As I was scrolling down, I kept thinking about Padgett hitting the 3 against Duke. Think he is definitely a dark horse for this conversation.

Delk, Aaron, Lamb, Knight, Meeks, and Murray are all viable considerations.

Clearly, he isn't the best overall shooter by a wide margin too, he isn't even close but in the described moment and similar Harrison put himself into his own tier for such a thing in college basketball history a couple years ago.
