Who’s the next dog, as were Josh Allen and Jamin Davis?

I hope and expect Josh Pascal and Jordan Wright will make the most noise in ‘21.

We heard Pascal had turned it up a notch in Spring, and White has challenged Wright, essentially saying the sky is his limit.

Looking back the last couple of seasons, Jordan Wright has turned in some huge plays. A strip sack 20 seconds before halftime against Mizzou at home led to a 22-0 halftime lead, and essentially ended the game.

Wright might not be as proto-typical as was JA his senior year, being 30 pounds lighter. But you have to give him his due: he’s found the endzone a couple of times in his career, and his overall body of work has impressive numbers in areas you might not expect. He’s freakishly long, and tough to go over or get around.

Pascal’s health had to be a lengthy mental downer, made better with the passage of time. He has sporadically looked unstoppable, and is ripe for a huge finale.

If Wright and Pascal live up to their potential, Kentucky could assault the top 20 defensive team rankings, again, as in 2018 and 2019.

I think it comes to fruition!

I think it will be someone in our secondary maybe valentine or the headhunter in Tilman

I agree. Valentine is the next big time CB for us. I look for him to take the next step this upcoming season. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but he will still be considered a Freshman this season. We could be looking at a solid CB for the next couple of years in him.

Vito Tisdale will also take the next step. He is a heat seeking missile in the secondary. I've read on here that coaches might consider playing him as a hybrid LB/S to get him closer to the box. I look for him to become the next Mike Edwards type player. Look for him to be all over the field on defense. My only concern for him, is that I feel he may get a couple of targeting penalties due to his physical play. WRs will get punished for going over the middle with him there. And while he is not a dirty player, Refs love to throw the flag and make the targeting call. I hope he has his techniques down so as to avoid this though.

Wright, Paschal and Corker are the obvious answers. Paschal has basically been that player except being slowed by cancer. He lost weight down to about 240. Now that he's back over 280 he should have a great year. Wright and Corker have been big time play makers for 2 seasons now. Wright just needs to get better at rushing the QB. 2 sacks isn't going to cut it. He does a lot to make up for it with INTs and fumbles but we really need more production from him in the pass rush.

Yesterday I was thinking about Jordan Wright this year, like I was hoping Jamin would last year.

Instead I think it will be a newer name that hasnt seen the field much yet, like Rogers. So much can happen between now and then that I don't want to speculate. After being excited about our MLBs heading into fall, and what happened to Chris Oats, I'm just gonna temper my excitement and expectations right now

The $EC offices need to be flagged for targeting our program with ridiculous targeting penalties.

Davonte Robinson, Tisdale, AAF, and Square.

This is honestly a guessing game because we have about 30 players who could step in and help, or at least not hurt our defense. Our most talented players are young, but our experienced guys are also talented.

I think and hope McCall turns it up a notch

Wright is a freak. If he reaches his full potential, he will be scary.

Casey is gonna get his shot this year. I think he’s poised to break out.

Hoping Weaver recovers well from his injury. He seems like the closest thing to a Josh Allen we might have.

Vito is obviously electric. Cant wait to see him on the field more.

No reason for Wright to have anything worse than 5 sacks and 10 TFL imo. He’s a good player anyway but he has to get home more when he’s rushing. Paschal needs to chip in with 6 or so sacks. I also have a feeling that nickel spot going to have around a half dozen sacks as well.
