The Levis discussions the last few weeks has sucked a lot of air out of the room.

I have not heard much about the others who might get drafted.

I think Jordan Wright, Carrington Valentine and Crod all have a good shot, but likely outside the top 3 rounds.

Valentine, CRod, Wright.

Manning borderline late.

Square, Jones, K. Smith UDFA.

Can't believe Valentine is going undrafted. Early many mocks had him as a top 3 cb. He had a good combine.

Did he just bomb meetings? Something happened

Carrington has been on Mel's best available since like the 4th round

What was the deal with Mel and UK players being over valued????

Valentine should have stayed another year at UK. There is NO WAY he thought he would go this late or even not be drafted at all. Heck, SEVERAL teams are taking punters before him!!!

AMAZING!!!

Not sure he had them overvalued. For whatever reason it hasn't been a good draft for UK. Too early to tell if the issue is program, individual, or just something else.

I remember hearing before last season that some were not optimistic about our chances because we didn’t have a lot of draft picks projected. I thought we were better than 7-5 but also never thought we would lose to USCe or Vandy.

Just what did you expect out of this draft? It went as expected, Levis early and CRod/Valentine in the latter rounds. Who else did you expect to be drafted? Wright/Manning were borderline(now will be UDFA), pretty much anticipated Jones/Square would be UDFA. There are no surprises here.

Those were the three but Levis and especially cv really slipped. Cv went from a 2/3 rounder to 6. That's a steep, steep drop. He tested well and has all the measurables. Did he just not meet with teams at all?

Last year kinnard dropped a ton of weight and made some unnecessary political statements that made him drop like a rock.

We need to get someone on staff asap that helps these guys transition.

I admit to not really studying mock drafts and all, I never saw CV above 5th Rd. Anyway, it's over now, let's hope they each do what they need to do to play pro football.

He was graded as high as round 2 iirc. Yes hopefully they do but we as a program need to elevate our stamp on their transition. These poor outcomes will eventually impact recruiting

Most of the mock drafts I paid attention to had Valentine going 5-7 rounds. You're being a bit dramatic

^ I'm not stunned, just impressed with our coaches achieviing as much as they do with a lesser talent level (Compared to top 15-20 teams). Look at just the SEC player numbers drated:
  • Alabama — 10
  • Georgia — 10
  • Florida — 6
  • LSU — 6
  • Tennessee — 5
  • Auburn — 5
  • South Carolina — 5
  • Ole Miss — 4

Florida's draft just underscores what a disaster Napier was. Now he rolls into 2023 without a bunch of talented upper classmen and several important losses via the transfer portal.

Ironically, I think their QB play could improve, now that Indy has taken AR15 off their hands.

There just must be a bad “culture” at UF, that keeps getting passed on from Coach to Coach.

Consistent Top 15 recruiting classes and yet 2-3 against us the last five, etc., etc., etc.

How long will Napier’s tenure last if they pitch another .500 season?

I hear recruiting has gone well, but it has been a strong point for them, previously.

Napier's job after 2023 depends on him hanging on to the commitment of Lagaway, the 5* dual QB from Texas IMO. If he has a 6-6 or worst year 2, AND they have no hope for better QB play in '24, his goose might be cooked.

I bet of the UDFA, Jordan Wright has the best career.

He was consistently a big play man.
He had big plays over his career. Really big plays, but I think consistency was actually the problem. He seemed far more consistent last year, but seems to get lost. Hope he makes a team.

I could see Keidron Smith making a squad. He has versatility as a backup DB and could be good on STs. Square could also be a force on STs and is a smart kid who studies the game.

That said, I don’t expect any of the undrafteds to make a team.
