This has nothing to do with their basketball playing expertise,...

Kyle Macy
Jay Shidler "The Blonde Bomber"

I had MAJOR crushes my freshman year

Lee Huber. My Dad was a friend of his back in the day.
Derek and Dwight Anderson. Both seemed very cool though in very different ways.

My all-time favorite was and is Cotton Nash - three-time All American. My second favorite is Johnny Cox from the 1958 NCAA Champs. A lot of the reason that I always liked Cox was that I saw him lead Hazard H.S. to the Championship of the State Tournament in 1955. Riley, Dampier, and Larry Conley. I always like Derrick Hord. He was a great player as a junior. Joe B. ruined him when he was a senior. Others: Gerald Fitch; Winston Bennett; Kenny Walker; Delk; Epps; Jeff Sheppard.
And I can't leave off "The Blur." I'll never forget seeing Dwight Anderson single-handedly take down Kelly Tripucka and No. 2 Notre Dame at Freedom Hall on December 30, 1978. Probably my favorite U.K. game of all time.

Lots of folks showing their age.

Kenny Walker
Tony Delk
Oscar
DeAaron Fox

Isaiah Jackson on a throwaway year could have been the missing piece for some other very good teams

I rooted like crazy for Lance Ware. He wasn't very good but seemed like an awesome kid.

All of the unforgettables.
All are of the untouchables

Macy
Goose
Bowie
Turpin
Dirk
Walker
Fitch
Hawk
Chuck
Eric
Jodie
Wall
Cuz
T Jones

Antoine Walker isn’t getting nearly enough love here. Neither is Keith Bogans, arguably the greatest all around player ever at UK.

I always thought Bogans was the most overrated player for UK. He was good, but not that great. Kind of a ball hog, forced a lot of shots. Minimal assists.

I actually agree with this. People can make the argument that Bogeys No. 4 on scoring list and all time leading scorer for guards at UK but I still feel like he's overrated as well. I feel like he and Prince both are but Prince had the UNC game, the 41 pt game against Tulsa and Bogans went 16-0 (19-0 counting SEC tourney) in 2003 so I understand the love they get but it always felt like to me that KB was out of control at times and would try to force things. He'd take some ill advise shots and if he missed he didn't mind he'd just jack up another one til he found the basket and Tubby would just let him do his thing. Then, I always kind of felt like him and Tayshaun was competing and playing a game within a game.

If he had played his first 3 yrs like he played his Sr year then I think his teams could've possibly went deeper in March. He let the game come to him more his Sr yr. But I'm with you on this one. He did stay 4 yrs and he had heart and I appreciate him but he not close to even being on my list as favorite players.

I could give a honorable mention to so many guys many who probably deserves the main list (Prince, AD, KAT, Fox ect) but no one wants to hear me ramble a whole threads worth of names 🥴🥴🥴 this whole thing made me realize there are a lot of "favorites "

I don't think love is a issue here I believe like me some posters probably put down the players they met conversed or maybe a friendship too

Absolutely. And the whole "Bogans had a bad ankle against Wade"..... hate to say it but Wade was a far far superior player. He could take over a game similar to Iverson. Wade was going to take Bogans to school in good health or poor.
