Who are Matt Jones' recruiting sources?

Who else is Cal going to take from the media? The guy who basically runs the radio for UK in Jones or our former guy Dawson who runs the boards? Of course its going to be the voice of UK.

If Cal was going to give info to anyone it would be a national media member to gain favor... not a UK guy

Obviously I think he has sources; hence my reason for openly asking a question. It certainly wasn't a rhetorical question, and I am not doubting his sources.


As for your incorrect premise that I was mocking or doubting Jones - had I been doing that, you might be right in calling this thread "stupid", but I wasn't. This is a discussion board. We discuss on a message board. Most of the people in this thread had no trouble seeing that it was a serious question, and at the very least, it created a discussion that extended beyond what type of smilies Miles Bridges uses in his tweets or what's happening with Duke recruiting. In other words, people have actually been discussing in this thread.

I think it's clear he has well-connected sources.

There have been several that he's called to UK or not to UK. He has told us several times that a kid was coming, and then switched course--and when he switched course, he was correct. Like UKCatsFreak said, recruiting changes because young kids are indecisive.

I've never understood all of the hate the crystalball gets. Meyer had info that Bridges was a UK lock. Now he has info that says Bridges is an MSU lock. That doesn't make him wishy washy. He isn't changing it to make himself look smart. Hes changing it because he believes they'll go there. The crystal ball is supposed to reflect the choice a kid will make. Meyer doesn't run around boasting his correctness.

MJ has said several times that players girlfriends are great sources of info. Apparently you can learn a lot by following the lady friends of current and possible future players.

That's exactly what Cal would do. Cal would probubly tell Matt stuff so it would get out, true info or false info, Cal loves to control media. Matt could be his puppet. Don't underestimate Cal he knows how many people listen to Matt. Plus you don't get a personal invitation to go on the your unless you connected at least a little.Hell Matt might be the only media guy cal likes. We know how he feels about Ford and that Tipton clown.
