Which player in the history of basketball would you choose to take a last second shot if your team is behind by 1 point?

For Kentucky players that I have a good memory of I’m stuck between Lamb, Knight, and Harrison.

Every time Lamb shot it, I thought it was going in. Automatic. Knight scored that more than huge buzzer beater to keep us alive and hit at least half court half time beating 3s earlier that season. And then Aaron Harrison… he was factory built for March and was excellent overall in march both of his seasons here.

As for NBA… don’t really care about NBA but I’ll go with Jordan. Heard some good things.

I would want an all time great, as we all would. I would want someone taking the shot that I know would have no chance of getting his shot blocked. The player I would choose would be 7'2" Kareen Abdul-Jabbar with his skyhook.

Who would you choose?
Can't go wrong with any of the top 4 in this list, imo. MJ, Kobe, Bird, LeBron ... Probably no coincidence 2 of them are most debated as the GOAT. My first thought was Shaq for the higher fg% look, but then I remembered you could just bring a guy off the bench to foul him 8 ft from the rim and make him earn it at the line.

mj. you’re at his mercy for any verity of midrange jumpers that he perfected. this is assumed or he drives and scores or draws a foul. when you add it all up his on base % so to speak is very high.

Assuming the usual greats were not available, or were covered up, I would submit for my choice to be Big Shot Bob -- Robert Horry.

That dude had ice water in his veins and more than a couple of the greats would have a naked finger if not for his big shots.
Yep, Horry has the most impressive record in this area amongst players who were never all-stars. Dude did it so many times for several different teams.

And Steve Kerr is another of those “never All-Star caliber” journeymen who had an uncanny knack for always hitting the clutch shot when called upon to do so.

couple that with his ability to get a shot on the rim even while being fouled. was always a good chance of an and one with Jordan.

Larry "Legend" Bird.

This is no fun. Change it up. What KENTUCKY player would you want to take the last shot?

For a jump shot to win the game (assuming he doesn't need to put the ball on the floor to get open): Macy
For a contested jump shot, with apologies to Brandon Knight (who arguably hit the most famous one against OSU): Monk
Takin' it to the hoop: Mash
Feeding the block for a foul: Sky
Wow. Hard to argue against those
