Which combo would you rather have re: recruits

You didn't read my post either. There is no harm in waiting. How is it similar to last year at all? I don't get that. We've already got Richards, so there is no harm in waiting at all. There is no guarantee with any player but that doesn't mean you bail out of a recruitment just cause you're tired of waiting. That's silly. He may turn out to be dominate and he's one of the best players we've recruited in a while at that position. Given the fact that there is no risk in waiting, you wait!

I don't think so at all. Hump was talking about leaving months ago. I doubt his decision had much to do with Bamba at all. I said back in January that I thought Hump would leave. Granted, I said transfer but I figured he would be gone.

Diallo Bamba and it's not close

We really need Johnson if Diallo is truly gone.

I really want Bamba, but we can be really good without him.

We still have six 5-stars and three 4-stars. Add in Johnson for some experience (three years in a high D-1 program) and we will be in good shape.

This is a very good team and could be a contender by March:

G Green/Gilgeous-Alexander
G Johnson/Baker
F Vanderbilt/Washington
F Gabriel/Killeya-Jones
F Richards/Wynyard

All four guards can shoot. The backcourt has a couple of good ballhandlers and passers with Green and SGA. The frontcourt is long and athletic. Not a lot of great shooters, but they should rebound well. Improvements from Gabriel, SKJ, and Wynyard are a necessity.

Cal likes to play 7-8 guys, so 10 scholarship guys gives us some wiggle room in case of injury.

I am intrigued by the possibilities of that group. Don't get me wrong, I really want Diallo and Bamba added to the mix, but I can live with this team and feel pretty good about it if they don't play for us next season.
