Which coach out there could keep next years class together?

Thanks BB. I'm working on it.

I don't remember for sure but I think you've posted fine. Be fearless but be cautious. (I'm not included in this as I am only a UK fan and have no guru knowledge of basketball (stated that many times.)) I state to be cautious because this board is like no other you may be accustomed to; do not BS these posters. They will call you on it and prove you are wrong. These are some smart, smart posters here. (Not all but a bunch.) These dudes know airplane tail numbers while flights are still in progress. (I kid you not. Don't doubt me on this statement. Do not BS the BBN on this site, you will lose.) Be Good

Some will love it, but between post like AG's friends ranting over and over or this kind of crap, the board just sucks right now.

Logging off until we're closer to march. Keep my seat warm.

Can you imagine how awful we will be when Cal leaves? Most of our players will transfer, the class will depart, no coach will want to try to win with a team of Hawkins, Willis, Floreal, Wynyard and Mulder. Mitch will end up hiring Archie Miller who ends up getting fired in 5 years and next thing you know , 15 years from now we became the next Indiana without realizing it.

If you love UK, you'll threaten suicide if Cal leaves. He couldn't possibly leave with that much blood on his hands ... would he?

You realize that when Calipari eventually decides to leave, whenever that is, whatever recruits he's recruited that have signed a LOI will be let out of it if they want, correct?

Yes, but I'm guessing when they look around and see the other 5 star studs, coupled with a good coach that I think we'd bring in, plus being Kentucky (not Memphis), I'm guessing no one would go anywhere.

Interesting, had my original post before this one on the same subject now hijacked. I guess it is all how you title the subject line. I love all the name calling. The truth is this most of this topic brings out fear and the responses reflect it. And, to one poster, whether signed or not, if the coach leaves at a program most recruits can get out of their commitment. Nice when someone says something wrong and then calls everyone else names. Hopefully, Cal stays as most here hope.

While that is certainly possible, it is also possible that you run into a situation like MKG where a recruit is going to follow that coach (nearly) no matter what... Or one similar to Demarcus Cousins. Cousins was going to play at UAB because he liked Mike Davis so much. I realize if Cal left it would be for the NBA and no recruit could follow him there, but its possible they turn to their next favorite coach.

Pitino could hold them together. Yep, they would sit right next to each other on the bench because he doesn't play freshmen. None of them would be drafted because he would downplay their abilities to the scouts. Two of them would transfer after one year, one would get busted for drugs, and the other two would graduate with Women's Studies degrees and have fruitful careers in Slovakia.

Obviously the only two answers are Frank Martin and Larry Brown. They are undefeated.
