Which coach out there could keep next years class together?

Look at the cute little troll.

Based on the low brow approach, I'd say a card just back from his std treatment at the clinic.

If Brad Calipari is here next year. That will shut these stories up for at least 4 years.

What dad wouldn't give an opportunity to coach their son and also teach him the knowledge that one day lead him into coaching.

I doubt any recruiting class has anything to do with Calipari staying at UK. It simply boils down to whether he has a desire to coach again in the NBA. If so, you can tick off all the meaningless "reasons" you want as to why he won't leave (e.g., the team has new uniforms next season) and in the end they won't mean squadoosh (if I may borrow a little Italian-American slang). Just from a distance, he appears to me to be pretty content to stay in college - but then again, what would I know about it (nothing)?

I think this one has legs. What makes Cal great is what makes any great coach/athlete/successful and competitive person great. His ego. His one big failure in life was the Nets. He's in the Hall of Fame. I'm sure a part of him wants him to go back, win big in the only place he failed before, and drop the mic. Also, living in New York >>> living in Lexington, if you can afford it.

All that said, I hope he stays. He's built something incredible here.

Why do you consider the op a troll? please open your eyes, its all over the internet, Rumor is, Cal has told them he would take 120 mil 10 yrs..so it is more than a rumor at this point..and OP to answer question would have to be someone they trust and is in with Coach Cal, also, have a question, havent most of these kids signed?

Do you have a link on the New Uniforms? I hope we are going back to the slightly darker blue. The Rondo-era throwbacks are the best uniforms in college basketball history, as far as I'm concerned. Would love to see that look return, with a slight modernizing tweak.

No picture link - I think it's being kept on the down low. But, I hear it's a blue/white leopard print Calipari's daughter designed to match her handbag.

It might be legit, then again it might be one of those "yeah for *^% dollars I'll ??????????" type of things where something ridiculous is asked knowing odds are no one will meet the price; could be very wrong, maybe he would leave if someone were foolish enough to cough up that kind of money. It would scream desperation but really rich people do eccentric things all the time.

"Rumor is..." "...so it is more than a rumor". Huh?

What if Coach Cal does leave which coach out there could keep next year's class together?
You are asking a goofy question, based on false presumptions. Next year's class has already signed, so the class will stay together. And there is no reason to ask the question in the 1st place.

Yep. If it's all over the Internets, then it must be true.

The Nets have NO draft picks due to Garnett/pierce trade and a crappy team on top of that. Why would you go there to suck for 5 years?

Don't see how this is not correct, the kid grew up in this environment why would Cal and Brad not want to take advantage of what is offered here, provided he(Brad) wants to go into coaching.

Doc, yep. Cal has one and only one chance to coach his son.

Maybe its all about the money. Don't be naïve. If he goes that's his business. Doesn't seem to be interested. Maybe he has enough money already. Hope so, but?

I completely dismiss those reports of Cal to the Nets. When the day comes though that will definitely be his replacement's first and foremost challenge.

BTW hopefully you've seen Cal's response on Twitter. He has steadfastly stuck with his saying he's got the best job in sports. I take the man at his word. As they pointed out in the article I read about his tweet though, until the Nets hire somebody there will be some out there who will keep want to keep this rumor alive. I used to worry. I don't anymore.

You realize that when Calipari eventually decides to leave, whenever that is, whatever recruits he's recruited that have signed a LOI will be let out of it if they want, correct?

This. And as stated, no one else could hold this class together. When it comes to recruiting Cal is on another level.

Cal shot it down. He's seen what our coaches who left have experienced. Pitino and Tubby. Both I can say wish they had not left

I'm very new here, and everyone has been pretty nice to me by and large. It does seem like a lot of people here are quick to call new posters a troll or judge them by post count. While it hasn't happened to me, some older posters seem a little less than welcoming. Most have been pretty cool, though.

Although it is highly unlikely that he would come here, I think Donovan could keep the class together.

I agree and I do believe that he's staying put for at least the next few seasons, but I'd say his situation is more like Pitino's. Rick was a made man here and threw it all away, whereas Tubby had let the program slip considerably and left before things got even worse and the University's hand was forced. He didn't really have much of a choice and I'm not so sure that he wishes he hadn't left, as it was clear he had lost his drive and wanted to coach somewhere with far less expectations.

I am not one whose statement means anything but how I do it is; If you start posting here and are quick to down; fans, players, coaches, or start unfounded rumors it tends to lend to your being a troll. (And having a low post count.) Older posters who do the same thing are labeled either sunshine pumpers, wearing blue-tinted glasses, nut-jobs, or just clueless.. (No matter the post count. They are not trolls, just sunshine pumpers, blue-tinted glasses wearers, rival posters, or clueless but they have earned a little cred.) If you are a low-post count troll you are the same as the other groups except you just have no cred........yet. My advice is get some cred dude, get some cred...:ear:jmuo [winking]
