Where does Andrija Jelavic fit in the HS rankings?

I’d have to imagine he would be rated a high five star. 20 years old with his size and skill set. I’d think top 10-15 pretty easy.
Yeah, I think he would rank ahead of Moreno, so I figure he will likely be the fourth guy in the rotation. His age, international experience, and unique skill set (compared to the other guys in our frontcourt) give him the edge over Moreno.

Our two Juniors and Sophomore stud will get most of the minutes, IMHO, and Jelavic will get the rest. That is once JQ is 100% ready to roll.

I could be wrong, though. Moreno is a McD’s AA, so he might beat Jelavic out for the fourth spot.

It’s good for us, though. Pope has some options on the frontline.

I tried searching to see how well his handle and post moves are. Watched 3 videos and not a single clip. All spot up 3's and dunks. If he's anything like Nelson he can drive and handle the ball. That may be a big ask

The 5th post in the jelavic commits to UK thread has some post play. About 3:40 to 4:30. The 3pt shooting, cutting and assist segments of that video probably show how he'll be used here most.

I think he's like 21 years old, so it's probably not a fair comparison. But he's probably top 15.

Nelson had a great handle for his size.

Imo in the ncaa tournament he still suffered effects of that injury in the sec tournament. He didnt look the same after, it just didn't get noticed because spears was on such a tear. Unfortunate timing for them because he was by far the best matchup for flagg in all the field.

The NCAA no longer gives a shit about that issue …given that CBB players are now effectively also pros.

Euro pros are now fair game for everyone. Expect to see a whole lot more of em in CBB in the coming years.
I get that but the Z issue(whatever it was) leads me to be skeptical until they are on the floor with the clock running

I would believe this will become the norm with the college basketball landscape today. Being cleared was something that I believe held a lot of these guys back that had played pro ball over there. Now without any of those issues more will take the NCAA route.

Would be difficult to rank an almost 21 year old kid in highschool rankings, but if we did play the game, I would say maybe top 50ish.

He put his name in the 2024 NBA draft then withdrew and went home..

They can get in college fairly easy now just needs to apply for a student visa, I think that takes like 10 days to be approved.
