Where did Johnson end up???

I believe he can go to UNC, but would have to sit out a year....so not a complete block

It wouldn't suprise me if he still ends up at uk. We need shooters and you can never have too many. That said he may not see a ton of playing time this yr, but he will either be a 6th man or a starter his senior and get atleast 25 minutes a game. If he comes and plays this yr he would probably get 10-15 mins a game. If he makes the most of them while he's in he could easily be here only one yr. just like guys that played in the platoon system most of the non starters didn't play more than 20 mins a game. Btw, how ya been umm?

Going to be a very good team? Absolutely. The roster is set? With coach cal it could and probably will change. I, for one, am pretty sure there will be one more player added.
Then who would that be? Any realistic candidates? Diallo's return and Knox's signing mean Johnson isn't coming. Actions speak louder than words, and Johnson's own behavior shows that he is scrambling to reorganize his transfer plans after Alkins and Diallo pulled out of the draft. Bamba signed with Texas. There aren't any uncommitted elite centers now. I don't put anything beyond Calipari, so I can't say with 100% certainty that Calipari won't yet pull another Isaac Humphries out of his hat in July. But that is unlikely now. Like I said earlier, Kentucky fans need to come to grips with the near certainty that next year's basketball roster is set now. I believe Bamba's rebuff is making that resolution process difficult for some people, but it is what it is. We will have a top 10 team in November, a top 5 team by February, and a legitimate FF contender by March.

Then why is Johnson visiting California schools and pushing to get into UNC? Sure, we can always use another shooter. How does that fact help Johnson? He pictures himself as a starter.

He won't get into unc a school out west maybe his only option. He waited too long

Sure, he has lots of options. However, he LEFT Pitt when he would've likely been their best player. Pitt isn't great, but it's an ACC school and has some decent history and a coach who at least can get to the NCAA Tournament.

I simply asked why would be leave to go to an equivalent school or go a slightly better school where he won't be the main guy. Just seems like a lot of hassle.

The Johnson ship has probably sailed for both the kid and us.It would have made sense for him because it is a two year deal,he could have been part of winning a lot of games and getting a ton of exposure in the process

Pitt basketball transfer Cam Johnson to visit North Carolina on Monday

But given that head coach Kevin Stallings is also friendly with North Carolina coach Roy Williams, it wouldn't shock me to see a deal reached.

All the efforts to go to UNC, then they go on probation?

Doesn't make sense to me, whether its 1 or 2 years.

Roy walking around with his box of rings again?

He will help them obviously, but their problem is they lost their entire frontcourt, unless you count Maye, who seemed to be more comfortable on the perimeter. CJ won't help them in that area.
