When should we expect to hear something regarding offensive staff changes?

Don...heard Big Dog on Lexington Station this am. Think the staff will stay in place.
The ONLY WAY I see this happening is if Scang has a bigtime QB lined up for next season and Brown, Key, Dingle and Kattus ALL want him back!!!

Yenser I have NO explanation for Stoops actually keeping him no matter what the O-Line returners say!!!

He mentioned Scan & Yenser in regards to recruiting, so....
It would be hard for me to believe there will not be a change? It was Stoops worst finish in his tenure in total Offence(93)before UL game. More troubling was the inexcusable red zone offense that was bottom 10 in the country. The stats after a 12 game season are putrid to say the least. This was done with NFL caliber QB, RB, Center, Tight End and 2 maybe 3 wideouts. Its almost certain that Coach Scang will not have that much talent next year. If Coach Stoops sticks with this offense I fear that it will be the long drawn out demise of his Coaching tenure at UK.

If Scang and Yenser are retained, there's going to be zero buzz or interest in this program going into next season. In fact, I'd wager there will be more anger toward those in charge of the program than interest. Nobody thinks these two clowns can put a capable offense on the field after witnessing a season of this crap. Bringing them back will mean a significant portion of the fanbase will simply tune out. And I will likely be one of those people.

I find it hard to believe that VM is the source of saying the staff is staying intact. Stoops knows after his massive pay increase he has more pressure than ever and he can’t bring back the entire staff after a disappointing season.
BD was on wlap63 at either 10 or 10:30 for half an hour. Check it out. Didn't say he said it matter of factly.

Look I hope sometime down the road I'm proven wrong, but as long as MS keeps his philosophy, we are never going to have a dynamic offensive scheme.

I’ll repeat this question until I get ananswer

If stoops is mainly killing the offense. …why was Coen wjtb a good but less talent at 32pts a game and dang good offensive year?

We’ve seen something similar before.

Remember when Joker rode Morgan Newton till he was out of a job?

We were 4-4 in SEC games with over/under 30. Like I said I'll be glad to be proven wrong. We shall see.

Matt Jones tweeted about a half hour ago that he expects coaching changes...." at least two, possibly more".

That makes me feel a little better. He has to have a little inside info with his access to the program.

Like really wtf. Give Stoops 8.6 million and he loses his grip on everything else! The OC and OL coach need to go yesterday! He needs to hire a ST’s coach yesterday!

Do what? We were 5-3 in SEC last year and averaged 32 pts a game.....and we were really rolling offensively at the season end.

We won:
Florida
LSU
Vandy
USC
Mizzou

We lost:
UGA
Tenn
Miss St

Not to mention we obliterated UL into space

I'm torn on what I want to happen. I will trust Stoop's judgement on the matter. I don't know if the offensive trouble are mainly coaching issues or just a lot of inexperienced linemen, receivers, and tight ends. It's too easy for fans to blame lack of production on first year coaches, but I'm not sure that's always valid. We did some good things on offense and the line seemed to improve the last few games. Stoops knows much more than I do about why we aren't producing, especially in the red zone, so I will be happy with whatever he decides.

Fine with anyone not named Vince or Brad fired/not renewed/encouraged to go elsewhere

MJ said one of the coaches leaving isn't one everybody would assume. He said the Scang decision hasn't been made yet and it could go either way, but he would lean toward him being let go.

Imo settle, special teams, and at most yenser (although based on marrows previous comments it seems less likely). It was always going to take a ton to part with scang. Two years was promised and we absolutely banked on him getting our QB.

Sean McVay to UK confirmed

He's as likely as coen returning and probably only slightly less likely than Hartline. Not sure what some fans are thinking.

I trust Stoops to make the right call, but changing offensive coordinators every year isn't a recipe for success.
No but as bad as they were this season you gotta make a change. Supposedly according to Jones their will be several changes with 1 coming Monday

Saturday, Shanghai had the perfect opportunity to lead his case to stay OC. But even with 3 turnovers on their side of the field we didn't score TDs. Just thank God Matt finally got his head out of his ass for 1 game.

One I'm thinking may go is Woodward. He was hired mainly on the strength of Coen's recommendation IIRC. Think he may head to the NFL as an offensive asst. Would hate to see that, think he's done well and shows promise as a recruiter. That move, if made, would probably be after Dec signing period.

Wondering if Stoops may essentially "kick Scang upstairs"...that is move him from his OC job to an off-field job as an analyst for the remainder of his contract? Certainly would have to restructure his salary but it could be done. Would also leave the possibility of a transfer QB with whom Scang has previous contact still be in play.

Finally, wondering if Stoops goes NFL route or college route for next assistants? I would be in favor of UK hiring a young up and coming small college HC as OC, UK is in a position to pay small college HC more than he makes now. There are plenty of really good candidates for such a move.
