When does he announce?

That's not what Matt Jones said. He said if he had to guess it would be Michigan but he's hearing it's real close.

Actually, now that I look, where does he say that? It isn't on twitter.

There is a significantly large group of fans that make waiting unbearable. They are the ones that will start calling Brown a pre-madonna. I have no problem waiting for a kid to make a decision. This is a big decision for these kids, the biggest career decision they can make at this point. I have no problem if they want to wait.

John Wall waited forever (May 19th) and there was a large chorus of fans wanting us to pass on him. Same thing with Patrick Patterson (May 16th). Same thing with Terrence Jones (May 19th). Two of those guys were called every name from drama queens to overrated, and are now two of the most beloved to ever play for UK.
I don't remember any fans wanting to pass on any of those guys.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he will pick a school between now and May 20th.

Brisco will not be on the bench he will start!!

Isaiah Briscoe will not be coming off the bench.

If they get Murray and Brown, chances are he will. It has already been stated that if Murray was ranked in this class, he would probably be the top guard period, and definitely in the top 10. But beyond all that, he does one thing that we don't expect Briscoe to do, and that is knock down perimeter shots consistently. My guess is that Ulis, Briscoe, and Murray would split the 80 minutes per game at the 1-2 spots at 25-30 minutes a piece. Brown will play 30+, with Moulder getting the left over minutes there, and Poy, Lee, and Skal will split the 80 minutes at the 4-5 spots. I would, however, expect Poy and Skal to play 30+ minutes a game, while Lee gets 15-20. No overloading anyone, and yet be extremely talented regardless of the line-up. I actually like this better than the platooning that went on last year, and closer to what Cal says he wants to do. But first we would have to get Murray and Brown.

Then you weren't around these boards, and I mean that quite seriously. There were new posts multiple times a day saying we should just pass on Patterson, Wall, and Jones. And it's not just those guys, even some other recruits who only waited until April (Noel, Knight, Lamb) got the "we should pass on them if they can't decide right when I want them to decide" posts. Unfortunately our fans feel like they are entitled to know at every moment what a recruit is wanting/thinking.

It makes sense to me that Cal would go all in on Jaylen Brown and maybe we aren't "whiffing" on recruits like some are saying. The team as of now is pretty damn good and there was one player left in the class that would perfectly complete our roster. There is only one player in the class who could come to UK and get 35mins per game. If we get Brown, then all the talking and hand-wringing comes to an end. We don't need Murray or Maker if we get Brown. Cal knows it and this is what he is telling Brown.

My ears really perked up when he eliminated UCLA. Then he eliminated his home school, which no recruits are doing anymore. I knew Brown and Newman would never play together and with everyone thinking Newman was a lock to UK up until the end, Cal had to make his choice and Brown was the obvious choice with Newman wanting minutes at point. This would be one of the biggest recruiting wins by Cal at Kentucky. Brown has just been seeing if he was going to play his hand, and Cal has kept his poker face the entire time as the other targets "slipped away". If he lands Brown, he is done recruiting for the '15 class. I feel really good about Brown to UK. This has John Calipari written all over it.
