Being a Browns fan, I was fully expecting it.
Find it hard to believe Joey B. has never played in the rain. Don’t see too many QBs needing a glove. Maybe that’s why they were worried about the hand size!
The Browns’ defense had everything covered today. Just wouldn’t give him an inch. He couldn’t do anything. Rain was a great excuse but that was not the story.
Honestly, I hope so. I’m not a huge fan of Watson at all but they have coaches on both sides now. The addition of Jim Schwartz was the best off-season signing for that team.

I’ve been burned so badly by Browns teams that insults do nothing now. I can only agree.
Burrow didn’t play all preseason so he was a little rusty and the timing was off. We got absolutely nothing on the ground. While most didn’t think so, I thought losing Perine was a big deal and we could’ve used him today. The O-Line continues to be an issue. They give Burrow little to no time. He got hit today a lot. Also, the defense had so many holes in it today. Watson exploited it so give credit where credit is due. Doesn’t really mean much in the long run. Bengals lost game one last year too. There are a lot of issues that need to be corrected but a long season to do it in.

Burrow played bad and missed throws. According to this page that means he is a bust and will suck for the rest of the year.
Keeping Mixon and losing Perine should be considered a criminal act by management. That was extreme mismanagement and any casual fan knew it. Mixon basically plays touch football, because he falls the moment he’s touched. Perine was a beast.
Not shocked we lost, but shocked how we lost. Zac really needs to reconsider the whole no playing in pre-seaaon. Also hasn't helped that even if he would, he hasn't been able to...Burrow knee, appendicitis, calf... frustrating. Definitely sets the team back.
I think Bengals will be fine but the consistent early season struggles of past couple of years are really frustrating. Especially with KC loss had a golden opportunity to get an early jump on one seed.
This Ravens game next week is critical at this point. All that said, Browns look stout. Burrow also looked like he had never played football in the rain. Was quite bizarre.

When the season started did anyone expect the Cincinnati Reds to be within a game and a half of a playoff spot on Sept. 10?
Yeah, cause our Titans looked "great" today.
Because they take the pre season so lightly, it takes 2-3 games before they are full speed. Cost them home field last year because they started slow
So do I but they are going to have to step over 2 teams to do it.
I was in Nissan Stadium when McPherson sent you guys packing. A great moment.
The two places where QB's go to die are Browns and Bengals. Hopefully we can break that streak with Burrows.
FYI, I am not kidding about Roethlisberger. Unless Baker Mayfield got more wins when he was there, the all time leader for wins as a starting quarterback at the Cleveland Browns stadium is not a Cleveland Brown.
Bengals looked bad real bad tough division they better get it together Ravens will be another tough game. How bout them Cowboys?????
That just means the people betting weren't paying attention to the fact that Burrow didn't play during the pre-season. He wasn't reading the field well and had no timing with his receivers. Just rusty
Jesse Bates in ATL had as many turnovers as the Bengals did points. Would have thought Zac Taylor learned from last preseason after not playing starters. The running game was one of my biggest concerns going into this season especially after losing Samaje Perine to Denver.

OL was horrible. Rain. Burrow is probably still limited by his leg, but feels the need to play with the contract. If OL can keep it together they’ll be ok. Also Mixon is mostly done.
