Hey, you aren't a bad poster in general, like a lot of others that don't want to look at the facts, how about pointing out ONE THING that mitch gave the football program for the first TEN years of his reign. Recruting budgets for 25 commits less than for 4 basketball recruits, operating budget the same for 85 rides as for 13 rides, not even replacing the folding chairs in the "recruiting room" (although they went well with the concrete floor), letting Brooks give Joker part of his salary ($700K for the HC when he started) instead of paying him himself, keeping Brown on as the "Co DC", LOL, so he could save the severance pay, you name it. Meanwhile the SEC schools, UK included, were getting unexpected $5,000,000 bonuses from new contracts and SEC distributions, MOST of it due to SEC football.

The ONE thing he did for football besides the BARE MINIMUM was replacing the video system, not sure if it was in his first ten years or not-----BARELY before the revolt by fans over that, TWO years after they were scheduled to be replaced. While he couldn't possibley raise the money for them earlier he replaced the money the faculty refused to LOAN the football program in about ONE DAY when athletics had been GIVING academics millions a year all this time.

He did a lot for his programs, the BARE MINIMUM for the money cow, and the facts prove it.
However, today is today......not three years ago.

But don't give Mitch any credit for "seeing the light" from the fans and opening the purse strings for football. Remember he was just following what the last four ADs did.......Mitch along with the fans finally kicked the good ol boys to the curb!!!

UK football is going in the right direction.......be happy with that instead of always being miserable about the past.

The here and now......!

My take on the VM situation is this:

1. It was NEVER about money or getting a raise out of UK
2. When a program like Michigan calls, you listen.
3. Personal growth by working for a future hall of fame coach. You must consider their offer.

Reasons I think he stayed:

1. He believes in the job that coach Stoops is doing at Kentucky.
2. The mission here isn't finished.
3. Loyalty to coach Stoops
