What was the first game (if any?) that you cried at ?

What a bunch of sissys... lol I cried one time and one time only. When Sparks hit the three against Michigan State. I was 13 at the time and was dying for a final 4 as I was too young to remember the last one.
Let me get this right you say we're a bunch of sissies for crying yet you admit to crying during a game. So basically you're a hypocrite. The only time I ever cried was when I was 10, so I have an excuse. I don't cry after 2015 but had we won it all I might if shed a few tears of joy. We are all very passionate about uk and sometimes it can be overwhelming so I understand why so do cry.

I've never cried over a loss but have teared up a number of times over a big win. I think the love and pride I have for the University of Kentucky just takes over on those occasions and I get a big lump in the throat and have to wipe my eyes. Done that on some other occasions too such as senior night and a great version of My Old Kentucky Home, that gets me every time unless it's a really weak performance of the song.

Yea it was clearly a joke. Most sensible minds would see that.

'92 I sat in stunned silence for what seemed like an hour. Those boys deserved better. Should have had a man on the ball.

"66 Texas Western. I was 13 and after the game, i shot hoops till late into the night. Larry Conley was sick.

'15 Up 4 and had the momentum with 4 minutes to go and the bench coaching choked. And don't tell me the twins hijacked th game, Cal could have yanked them for two better players on the bench.

No need to cry. One game made me sad. One made me mad and one made me sick.

84 Georgetown Final Four. First great team I remembered. I was in 7th grade and can remember talking about it at School. Cats lead at half by 6-8 points and looked great but couldn't throw a beach ball in the ocean in second half. I believe they shot around 9% from the field. Also developed a pacing routine because of this game. (Only with big games and tourney games)

After the 84 FF I haven't cried over a loss. However I have teared up on a few Sr nights. And a few huge wins

92 Duke loss was toughest to take. Followed by Uconn in 14 (just because we were peaking and seeing Calhoun win)

86 Elite 8 loss to LSU

95 loss to Carolina was painful

Of course Wisc was horrible loss

Gardner Webb was embarrassing

Marquette was just frustrating in 03

97 wasn't as bad because we were Dominating college basketball and who knows if Anderson woulda played.

Now if I could have remembered I'd say 66 Tex Western, 70 Jacksonville, 75 UCLA and any mid 70's loss to Indiana would be cause for tears.

Two years in a row...1983 Dream Game and 1984 Georgetown.
Jim Master's shot to tie at the end of regulation is top 3 along with Sparks' 3 and Woods' runner for all-time "would-be" legendary moments.

I've never cried in my life.
When I was born, the doctor spanked me like they do for some reason. I punched him in his stupid face.

I cried (meaning a few straggler tears lol) / misty eyed ---) for the first time in 97 when I was like 12/13 when we lost to Zona in the title game. I was so sad/ mad/ upset lol

Then, the nxt year I cried when we got down like 17( or was it 19?) to Duke - totally thought we were gonna lose. My buddy even called me to vent/ share his sadness
- but hell if I wasn't wrong- Euphorically happy after that game

Kinda did when we lost to WVU with wall, Cousins and Bledsoe

Then I "cried" when we beat Kansas in 12 with Davis and Co

The I def had a couple tears when we lost to Wisconsin in the FF

Real mean have tears lol

Middle schoolers shouldn't be allowed to post on here.

Cringe worthy lol - 2/10. (Just for the effort )
Cmon, you gotta have better roasts and put downs than that ? You're an average / ok enough poster but... cmon. Bring your A game bud!

And if I'm a middle
Schooler so are the numerous fans who posted the same type thing in this very thread lol

75 loss to those CHEATIN Bruins and their Prima Dona coach!!

I was 9 years old and just knew we were going to win after beating that jerk Bob Knight.

Cried my eyes out after my Dad let me stay up and watch it.

I cried when my Junior Pro all star team lost on a last second shot in grade school.

Cried when LSU and Ricky Blanton beat us...
Cried a little at Cals first BBM when they played the song It's going to be a good night or something like that.... I knew we were back!!

Thats quite an assumption you`re making there Frank. I had my butt whipped a few times growing up and never was I abused.

Oh me too , I got "whippins" lol , never abused tho

But my comment was in reference to the post where it was said the father would "give
Him something to cry about if he ever saw him cry after a game ". Even as a little kid

I gotcha. It was alright to cry, over certain things but losing a ball game didn`t qualify . But it did get me pretty steamed to lose. Some of the teams I played on got me used to losing but it still didn`t make me like it. When the Cats lost ,it would be like the world was gonna end. I guess some things you don`t grow out of, Because i`m 59 and it still effects the same way.

My parents took me to a high school game when I was about 3, I wanted nachos but they wouldn't give me any. I was devastated.

We might have cried if our dog got ran over or if someone passed away but not over a ball game.

Getting my ass whipped by a
belt as a child is not abuse. It's called a teaching moment.

No wonder this generation is a bunch of whiny, disrespectful, self indulged, basket case wimps.

Woah, simmer down tiger lol

I got whippins as well, and think nothing is wrong with spanking etc . So, you're wrong there lol

My original post was , I was surprised that someone's dad would "give him a reason to cry" if he ever cried after a UK game as a kid. That's just weird to me... Bully ish? Idk . Whatevs (-:

I'm all for discipline , I think (like you said ) this generation is a bunch of self indulgent pricks lol

But , that specific post- what I said - has nothing to do with that ?

How many children do you have ?

:)
