It has been mentioned that this 2023 NCAA Tournament Pod In North Carolina is the first in many years where there are no North Carolina schools to buy up the tickets. Greensboro is much closer to UK and our Kentucky fan base then it is to Providence. Of course UK just lost to Vandy in Rupp then again in Nashville where UK also had the large majority of the fans. It makes sense that without another big time team to compete for tickets that it should leave more tickets available for UK fans to buy.
Cal supposedly said on his Monday night radio show that he expected a large UK fan turn out, but hard to believe anything Cal says about anything. Hopefully UK will have a large UK fan turnout to cheer us to a big much needed victory.

I'd guess it won't be near as good as normal but likely better than what everyone else brings. I think we are the closest to the location of all of the teams.

Edit
Kennesaw St might be a little closer but I have a hard time seeing them top even a down year Kentucky crowd.

One thing about the cats. Good or bad. Undefeated or just trying to limp by. Blue gets in anywhere in the world and regardless of the circumstances will have better or atleast as good of a showing as anyone.

Light. There's very little buzz about the Cats these days compared to days of old. Maybe half or so that would have gone 10 years ago.

I am sure there will be a decent amount of UK fans. But, Greensboro is a weird location. Not close to any UK centric location (Louisville, Lexington, Atlanta, etc...) and it's not a real exciting city to go to.

It’s going to be all UK except for the cheerleaders and families of the other teams.

Is there anybody on the message board now that is currently in Greensboro on what it looks like for hopefully a big BBN turnout?

They need to move it to Charlotte or even Charleston, SC. Lots more there that would bring fans from everywhere.

I think our fan base will be dominant and it will energize the players on the floor. BBN is the best fanbase in America! Go Big Blue!!

Even if we have the most fans of any other school there, it won't surprise me to see the other school's fans cheer against us. It happens all the time.

This is the first year I don't even care about the crowd advantage. This team seems to play better on the road when it's most of the crowd against us.
