What round does Kansas get knocked out in?

haha They always have the good regular season, all to fall to the underdog with a high seed in the tournament.

I can see another good mid major team winning against them again. So IMO second round.

Sweet 16, depending on who they draw. I'd compare their team this year to their 12-13 squad. Good team, overachieving a little against mentally weak Big 12 squads that seem to crap themselves whenever they see the Kansas uniform, not likely to put together a run of 4 wins against quality non-Big 12 competition. They even lost early in the season to Michigan State in 12-13, same as this year.

Kansas is playing pretty well in the Big 12 which is tougher this season than normal like it or not they like UNC have the parts to make a deep run wouldn't be surprised at all to see them in the final four.....and I know most are making the predictions on their past history and a hot team with a lot lessor talent could end it for them but they are pretty good.

I think they are a final 4 team (with the right draw) in a down year of basketball.

Sweet 16

They are overrated as usual and have an inflated record due to Phixed Allen. They get 2-3 wins from the atmosphere and home cooking there every year. Then get seeded too high, and fall on a neutral site without the refs getting caught up in the crowd.

I'll say E8. I'd just like to see a b12 team other than KU make it to the final four. My middle schooler doesn't believe it could happen.

They've been surviving on absolute ABSURD 3 point percentage... Selden us up like 80 percentage points from his career average. I suspect they get a super cold game and find out they have almost nothing inside, and drop a S16 game.

They could lose in the second round if they get someone like UCONN.

From Sweet 16 on, it will be all about matchups, but I don't see KU being heavily favored against anyone.

I think KU will make the Elite 8 to face UK, then the CATS will knock them out for a trip to the final 4.

Final 4 = UK vs. Mich. St. and Okla. vs. either *UNC or *Duke (*due to the easiest path) on the opposite side of the bracket.

CATS win 2 games in Houston on April 2nd and 4th to bring home #9.

2ND ROUND

The difference between this team and previous teams is the preseason tournament. KU already hit its wall it usually reserves for tourney time. Those early season tournaments really gel teams. I think we go further this year because of that. Kansas has played a lot of high-pressure games this year and come out victorious. They battle a lot more than previous teams.

I'm thinking Final Four this year and anything else is a disappointment. They've shown the ability to win in a lot of ways and have great depth.

Stop fouling I guess. It's like the more fouls called on UK supports your delusions of persecution rather than the idea that your team, in fact, fouls a lot.

I should believe the Big 12 is tougher than normal this season, why, exactly?

We're talking about a conference that hasn't put a team in the FF since 2012. We're talking about a conference that has been given 21 top 5 seeds in the NCAA Tournament since 2010, and yet only has 10 Sweet 16 appearances total during those years. We're talking about the conference responsible for these results the last 3 years:

2015- #2 seed Kansas loses to #7 seed Wichita St. By 13. #3 seed Baylor loses to a 14 seed. #3 seed Iowa State loses to a 14.

2014- #2 seed Kansas loses to a 10 seed. #5 seed Oklahoma loses to a 12.

2013-#5 seed Oklahoma State loses to a 12. #4 seed Kansas State loses to a 13.

In other words: prove it when it counts. Otherwise, it looks like the Big 12's RPI/power rating consultant does a great job on telling them how to schedule OOC, locking them into being overrated once conference play starts, but making them easy targets in March.

We do foul too much, but our guys got hacked a lot at your place, yet we got no calls. Call them on both ends of the floor or not at all. Are you suggesting the officiating was fair in that game?

Regardless of last year's disastrous NCAA Tournament performance by the Big 12 or whatever happened to Kansas in the past. That's still in the past, their team this year is very capable of winning six in a row. They have proven they can gut out some very close games and they are shooting it very well and have experience. I think this is what seperates them from UNC. Both have depth and experience, but I question the Heels mental toughness and they are not a good shooting team. Don't let their great shooting game vs Miami fool you, their shooting from deep is more towards how they performed vs Duke than vs Miami. The Heels rank an astounding 15th in the ACC (last place) in 3 point shooting percentage. 31% on the season.

My question to everyone is, how can you win a National Championship shooting the 3 that poorly? they can attempt to "feed the post" all they want but good teams with good coaches are going to take that away and force them to make shots. Does anyone know of any other Champions in at least the last two decades who won it all shooting that poorly? I could definitely see the Heels getting to the Final Four but I think they're going to need to do better with the 3 ball in order to win six tournament games.

UL shot 32.9% in 2013, but they were allowed to foul on every defensive possession.

UNC doesn't guard, so it's hard to see them winning 6 straight shooting the way they do.

"Delusions of persecution."

So many posters want to pat kimo on the back, and ignore the constant shots she takes.

Yea no joke there! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:,

so they're pretty close in the overall outside shooting with this years Heels. That UL team had more playmakers though like Russdiculous. UNC really doesn't have great playmakers and t here are the defensive issues like you said.

They also had Hancock who could knock down timely threes.
