What reaction would BCG get in Rupp?

Can't see that ever happening. JMO, but I think most everyone would like to forget that BCG ever coached here. Another MB head scratcher.
I agree with your thoughts here. Personally, my ill feelings in the matter are directed not to Gillispie but to Barnhart, the person who hired such an obviously poor candidate for the job.

We all know the BCG era in UK didn't end up so great but there were some good moments in there I think.

With the passage of time how do you think the Rupp crowd would treat BCG as the opposing coach? Let's say Tarleton State ends up on the schedule next November.
He didn’t resign he got fired. We all loved him at first. He was horrible but give him a nice round of applause and lifetime supply of KY’s finest and Poptarts.

Polite applause. The only ones that hated him were some of the ones who met him in person.
The rest of us just realized he was a disaster; we only later learned he was a drunken disaster.

In my scenario he does the Y, receives decent applause, then grabs the mic and tells the crowd “free Yuengling’s for everybody” to wild applause.

Then, he leaves an expired credit card at the concession stand and bolts.

I dunno, I was a student during his coaching at UK.... Lets make things interesting, keep booking us games against the ncaa tourney teams....Im not impressed if we have to watch easy win games. Like tonight, could be easy, where is Colgate located?

I don't think really any reaction. He was here a year longer than a Cal recruit. It's such a blip in our storied history that he will be the guy in 50 years if you ask who were all of Kentucky's coaches after Rupp, he will be the one that people always forget.
I think he’s already that guy

I’d cheer him.

He had literally one bad year. The crappy result at the end of his first season was exclusively about PPat busting his tire.

Dude, he lost to Vandy by 40 that first year, with Patterson. The record was 12-10 at that point, he lost to Gardner Webb and San Diego
