After watching FAU and St Peters the year before and whatever god awful teams make the elite eight/final four every year then anyone saying our ceiling is less than a final four with our guards this year has lost their minds. If we are hot and play even slightly better defense we can obviously make the final four. It depends on matchups and draw as much as anything else. Who’s to say we don’t even end up playing a power 5 school to get to the final four the way it shakes out?

With the transfer portal Cal can’t out talent everyone else by enough to ever reach another FF.
So I will say Elite 8 is our ceiling but will be surprised if we make the sweet 16.

True, we can only base it on what we’ve seen so far. That’s why I’m so confused when everyone says Edwards will have his break out game soon because it’s “clear” he’s got talent. How? What has he shown at any point that looks even remotely close to his projected draft status?

If the shots are falling and we’re getting out in transition, nobody’s beating us. It’s the cold shooting night that scares me.
