I think that’s the key really. You can’t say “if they don’t make the Final Four, then he’s a failure” after his first year in which he could actually build a legitimate roster. The tournament is just too unpredictable. But I’d like a team that we genuinely feel is in the hunt.Want to have a team that feels Final Four caliber all year. Don’t think we’ve had that since 2017. 2019, maybe.
I have to see a roster.
I don’t have blanket “bah gawd this is Kentucky” expectations because that’s a fool’s errand that will only lead to disappointment.
I can only say I would like to compete for a national championship.
Historically we win a title roughly every 15 years and go to the FF roughly every 8 years. We are two years behind our average on Final Fours and are nearing our average for titles.
