What do you read into the fact that Yenser has not been let go ?

Probably the lone improved overall even as minute as it may have been it's still improvement, something the OC and STC couldn't hang their hats on

Maybe new OC gets to decide if he stays or he needs his own O line coach
This has more to do with it than most people realize. I do believe a lot of the blocking problems were caused by the complex scheme from Scang. Have to believe he would have already been let go if Stoops wanted it.

I don't know how the worst OL of the stoops era doesn't result in this guy getting the boot. OL is the identity of our program, this year can't be forgiven.

There posters saying koby keenum loves him and will only stay committed if we keep yenser. Said his family says they only went on other visits because of UK message boards wanting yenser fired. I guess Keenum is holding UK hostage. Lol. But there really are some saying this. Raising cane because a lot still want him to go

Think its pretty obvious, Yenser was brought in when Coen was still around and everything points to Stoops wanting Coen as OC.

Yenser has ties to Schlarman and is pretty likeable guy with NFL connections. Will Wolford was not a very good coach, less a teacher and mentor for the O-line but someone who likes to yell a lot. I don't think anyone was unhappy when Wolford left and the manner in which he left showed he was not a good guy. I think the Stoops knows the O-line.was a big problem this year but I also think Yenser has more slack because Wolford was a bad fit and wasr esponsible for some of the issues that plagued us this year.

Schools also tend to keep recruiters around until after signing day. It’s sleazy, but the way college football works. I’m guessing some OL recruits would back out if he was let go before signing day.

I’d say that Yenser better pray that Coen decides to come back. He was recommended by Coen so I expect Stoops will let Coen keep him . Other than that , I thought he would be gone before Scang.

Seasons not over. My guess is he can still do some good for the team and is expected to keep doing the job he is paid well to do. Keep calling recruits. Be available for players. Stay on top of them for academics. Help prepare for bowl. Firing both the oc and Settle made him more valuable in the near immediate future, not less.

Lot of variability. He could be let go after signing day, could make it to bowl game. He signed a 2 year contract. Position coaches don't have impact like coordinator. Stoops might hold his nose, put some blame on Scang, and let him finish out contract. New oc may want to keep him and Stoops has seen enough to push him out anyway.

UK bigger than one recruit. He should have been gone before Scang got the boot.

Yenser agreed to a high school assistant coach position just four years ago. His P5 O-line coaching experience before Kentucky was at Kansas and they won 3 games in 3 years while he was there. I just don't see why this guy is still employed after the horrible performance the line had this year. Maybe they are hoping Coen comes back.

It could signal that the problem might have been with what Coach Scan was doing that made Yenser's job more difficult. Just speculation on my part.

Maybe Yenser is not what some fans think? Just like some fans thought Schlarman should have been fired the minute Brown left.

-line was middling but not the major issue.

^scheme/lack of mobility or running game for qb whatever reason (injury/play calling)...was a bigger issue. I love will but he also has a tendency to hold on to the ball too long...you get 4 seconds in this league.

-blaming the oline is lazy.

Because the Rams are a dumpster fire with an aging QB, little to no draft picks....
And allegedly McVey is burnt out & will bail on coaching to do TV.

Coen made the right decision to go there, being his OC gets you NFL head coaching job. But the bad luck reality is at the end of the season he might be unemployed & his mentor out of the sport.

I could see McVey stepping away after the season. The OL needs work, RB position is not producing, and the defense is getting long in the tooth. They sold the farm to get the SB last year, it probably will be a multi year build back. McVey doesn't look like he's having much fun this year. I think they probably start trading away some of their talent in an effort to get more draft picks.

The Rams sold out to win the Super Bowl last season. They got their Lombardi Trophy so now its time to cut corners for a while. Rams are gonna suck for a bit.

Could be a thousand reasons. Likely Settle is gone because he has no recruiting results. As said, part of the issue could have been the scheme. It was pretty apparent that the line AND receivers were often lost on what they were supposed to do....and that Stoops commented more than once on the complexity of the offensive scheme.
Could be the school doesnt want many more buyouts.
Could be he has pictures somewhere.

Special teams got Settle fired IMO, even though he wasn't ever officially the 1 special teams coordinator

Mitch should take the buyouts from Stoops salary.

Are they bringing him back ?
Or has the hammer just not fallen yet ?
Two possibilities. Either Yenser is staying, which could mean Coen is coming back. Or else, Yenser is staying for the bowl game, since he is still under contract at UK for this season and does not have any better offers at this time.
