In Stoops 13th year we are really guessing if we might win five games. I love him but man it was time to go five years ago. He is what he is. To be honest I don’t have a clue how he had two ten win seasons even with a weak SEC East.
Basketball will be ahead of the football program.
I don't follow football like I do basketball, but the teams ahead of UK football are way ahead of them; basketball might have a down year here or there, but football to be happy with 5-6 wins is BS.
I was talking to an old friend of mine last week at a softball game who told me something about the football coach that makes me think he needs to get his s**t in order. This friend of mine is high dollar booster of the UK athletic department and hangs with the high rollers. He said there are stories floating around about the nightlife of certain coaches that needs to be reined in. Take it for what it is, "I heard this" but this old coach does run with big boosters at UK. If true, then the football team needs an overhaul.

All they have to do to win 5 games is beat 3 ooc cupcakes, vandy and UL. Or vandy and SC. Etc. It should be easy. Stoops will make it hard though.

Our football team was alleged to have more talent last year than ever. We lost to Vandy, South Carolina AND Louisville. So all we have to do is pretty far off.

UK football seems like it's at a crossroads, given this new NIL and SEC powerhouse era. Kentucky is either going to have to make some serious commitment to being competitive in football, or wave the white flag and be a basketball (or other sports school). You can no longer waste money by being content to tread water in college football. Personally, I hope they find a way to get back to good, competitive, rocking Commonwealth football.
Football isn’t going anywhere until Stoops is gone. Playing football like it’s 1985 works if you have the talent of Alabama or Georgia. If you have the talent of Kentucky, you’re lucky to win five games. It sucks. I’m nearly as passionate about UK football as I am UK hoops. But if I’m being honest, I expect Kentucky to make the final four this year. I don’t expect the football team to win five games.
Too many people (including Mitch) think Stoops is the only coach that can win here and until that mentality changes we won't be successful. Stoops is past his prime and Pope hasn't even peaked yet.

Kentucky making the final four is a crap shoot. It is a crap shoot for EVERY team in the country because so much pure luck is involved. You can have the best roster and best team and still not get to the sweet 16. One bad call, one bad injury, one bad shooting night, one bad coaching decision, and one bad draw in the NCAAT can derail any team, regardless of talent. Football winning 5 games, forget it.

Itll cost the university more in the long run as the fans disperses due to him dragging the program through the mud. I personally think if he only gets 3 wins this year, which is what I think he will get, it could be his last.
Is it some guarantee? The odds are always against making a final four. Law of averages. UK making 4 n 5 seasons from 2011 to 2015 isn't the norm.
They just need to shut the football program down if their answer is Stoopids.. But as long as he gets 5-7 wins a year the fans are content.. No idea why anyone would pay for that shit show at commonwealth.. Best thing there is the bbq and beers in the parking lot..
I think they have a better shot than most and I believe in my Cats. The law of averages says 4 teams do it every year and I have faith in my Cats. It’s cool I don’t judge because you don’t. There will always be chicken littles.

Final fours are hard man
It has been 10 years since we made the final four. We do NOT have as much talent for next year as we had several years in past 10 years and we did not make final four. Making the final four has way too many variables to be confident in predicting a final four. LUCK, injuries, bad call, bad coaching decision, draw in NCAAT, and one poor shooting night will eliminate a final four. I think luck is so important because talent alone will not get us a final four. My wish is, let's have a lucky season.
It’s very strange how much luckier Duke, Carolina, UConn, Florida, etc have been than us in this century.
Kentucky has a real coach now. We’re about to get lucky again.
