I'm just thrilled. This team has more playmakers on each side of the ball then I can ever remember. Towles had kind of a slow start to the year but he is picking up and Dawson called a hell of a game Saturday one of the best called games by a UK OC in a while IMO.

The defense looks unbelievable! Stoops and DJ Eliot have me sold on what they are doing with it. The speed on defense is incredible, a lot of future NFL players on it! Through 4 games I am 100% #allin GBB!!

Honestly we should be 4-0 and have that Gator off our backs.

But I'm still proud of the Ky young men.

Well Said KWilt43atbuzz!

The FLORIDA "give away", ummm..."LOSS", still rubs me the wrong way.

However, I'm proud of THE CATS and really feel we should be 4-0 at this juncture.

Additionally, I really do NOT think we have played a GREAT SEC team yet. It will be interesting to see how we handle GEORGIA!

GO CATS!

D is better than I thought. The O is not as good though the wr's and rbs have shown flashes of greatness. OL needs depth desperately and Towles needs to stay relaxed.

90% of teams will have losses they shouldn't have.

How many times have we been able to say we should have beat FL?

2 in a row and they know they were lucky on both.

We jumped out huge on a SEC team on the road.

We have overcame major mistakes with poise.

That Mizzou game was well played.

Players and coaches are improving every game.

I admit I was a 6-6 guy at most.

And thought Auburn was an automatic loss.

If PT keeps progressing and the dline keeps playing like they are the Steel Curtain we will have a lot of fun.

I can't wait to see some of these youngsters the next few years

I am literally giddy with the start to this year. After Saturday, UK should be 4-1 which I thought at the beginning of the year to be a best case scenario. And now after EKU, the team has ten days to prepare for Auburn and eight days to prepare for Miss. State. Those extra few days are very helpful during the middle of the season for injury recovery and just refresh the batteries for the rest of the games.

Overall I am very pleased with our start to the season. Ending the UF streak would have definitely been the icing on the cake; we would be 3-0 and in the driver's seat for the East! But for the most part I am tickled with how things have played out thus far, and realistic Cat fans should agree with me.

Honestly pumped! The way we have been competing every game regardless if we're having an off night. Just think how good we'll be if we play a near perfect game. Defense is the best I've seen and the offense seems to be finding their groove.

It's been a season of progress. I think Florida we suffered a minor setback but on balance we have gotten much better as the season has unfolded. Obviously the defense is all of a sudden playing lights out and the offense is starting to come together. If we can continue to play at the level we played this past game this team can really go quite far IMO, further than the internet experts are predicting.

Love that we are competing and defense is playing winning football...despite what coaches say i would still feel like the offense putting up 28-32 pts because that is basically you need in college fb today

If you wanna know how well the Cats are doing go back and look at some of the SEC scores over the past 3 years we've had to endure. The progress we're making is enough to make you wanna strip naked and run down Bardstown road screaming Atrayu!

I thought we'd have four or five wins tops. Totally exceeded my expectations and hard to express how happy I am to see us have players at multiple positions in both sides of the ball that look like actual SEC caliber players. Even the Florida loss was one touchdown away from a win. 7-5 would be huge. 8-4 would blow my mind. Regardless it's clear to me Stoops is getting it done.

You really only thought we would win 4 or 5 games? 6-6 is the worst I predicted.

Yes. Didn't think we'd beat USC at home and didn't think we'd beat Missouri or Florida. I also can't believe the Bengals are 3-0. I've been a fan of both for a long time and have come to not expect much if anything. Glad to see that turn around a bit.

Good season with a huge missed opportunity , in position to make progress . Tenures of the past would typically squander such a chance , let's see if this regime is going to change the culture .

We are about where I thought we would be. We are progressing on schedule and should be even better next year. Our offense has not hit full stride, but that can be attributed to a new OC. The Auburn, MSU, UT, and UGA stretch will definitely test our mettle.

I'm excited about the future.

Very pleased. We are still young, so we are likely to see some more up and downs, but we are definitely improving. As it looks like Auburn has been overated, we may have gotten a great draw this season playing probably to two weakest teams in the West, unless perhaps Arkansas is worse. But we didn't get AL, LSU, A&M, or Ole Miss.

I'm thrilled. I feel we are right where I thought we'd be. I feel the defense is a little ahead of what I thought, but it is possible that it's because we played 2 bad offenses......I pray that it is just "that" good.

Next yr is going to be really exciting. The entire offense minus LG and LT return. And really the only position that takes a major hit on defense is the LB position.

Right now is best case scenario for my predictions at beginning of season. The fact we've won 2 out of 3 SEC games so far put us ahead of expectations. I still think we will have to scratch and claw to get 6-7 wins because our schedule is not easy. Every game will be tough except for EKU and Charlotte.

Don't forget Vandy just played Ole Miss very tough.

My thoughts are that Boom Sr is gonna be a legend before his son is done here. I love that guy and I've never met him.

I will admit i thought we would loose to missouri, and beat florida. We are on track of what i thought but had the games wrong...I still believe 9-3.

I am quite happy with the season so far. We are 3-1 and if the offense played worth a damn vs. Florida we would be sitting 4-0 and probably in the Top 25. Our defense is playing well and Patty Ice and the offense looked pretty solid vs. Misery. Keep the Big Blue train rolling.

Knock off the giddiness, three weeks in there for a total of 21 days, so 10 and 8 doesn't do it, try 12 and 9, even better. Good point though, although Auburn will have the same 12 days I believe, and they need it worse than we do.

Very happy with the season and the record, but sad we didn't end the streak like we should have, it will be tougher on the road next year. But we almost did it last year on their turf, and we are improving.

Yeah, a 29 year old Gator is a huge animal though, hard to overcome, but maybe the breaks go our way next time..

A little concerned about both Vandy and UL, not the gimmes some are assuming IMO, but while they have improved (Vandy) and have a lot of room for improvement (Transfer U) I am impressed with our improvement and think we will continue to improve also.

1st sunday in August at family reunion told relatives thought UK would beat Fl. (missed) USC (got it) Mizzo (got it) Lou (hope i get it) and get 8 wins, got a huge eye roll from my brother, but hey 2 ain't 3 ain't bad.(thanks Meatloaf). And hey 8-9 wins still possible UA is lookin shaky, and Tammy from Clanton is going nuts.

You don't count game days. It's actually 11 days and 8 days. I was a day off on one and you were wrong on both.

I'm wondering where some of the "I'm happy but we should be 4-0" crowd thought we would be after our first four? I fully admit I thought 3-1 was a "best case scenario" after the first four and didn't think 1-3 was too far of a stretch. Yea, beating UF would have been nice, but I'm ecstatic about being 3-1, especially with how our defense has played so far. I believe the offense will keep getting better, and if it does we are in position to contend in every game we play, save maybe at UGA.

I'm very pleased with the results so far. I honestly thought 2-2 was going to happen with 1-3 as a possibility. The win in Columbia proved to be pivotal. That game, hopefully, showed the team they could compete in SEC even after a lackluster 2nd half. They may have put too much pressure on themselves for the Gators and were too tight. The exact opposite happened against Mizzou. Here's to hoping they stay loose and have fun playing ball for the remainder of the season... :cheers2:

Is there a great SEC team on the schedule besides UGA?

We have not played a "great" SEC team yet. We have, however, beaten the reigning SEC East champ and an incredibly solid football team which until this season, we likely would have folded to after a quarter of play and/or some of the crap calls we got.

UK has already shown improvement in so many areas like leadership, talent, speed, discipline, strength training, and will. I don't need to watch our performance against Miss. St or UGA to determine where we're at as a program.

The thing that I'm most happy about is that our football culture is changing right before our eyes.

Our team expects to win close games and our players DO NOT have that losing mentality that has weighed down the program for decades.

The recruiting of talent has been impressive, but the winning mentality is most impressive to me!

They have done what they needed to do.

Would love to see the offense become more consistent.

Concerned that the defense will wear down in the latter part of the season, once the 6 games in 6 weeks gets rolling.

JPFisher, You make some good points, most I agree with. However I disagree and take issue with this one:

"I don't need to watch our performance against Miss. St or UGA to determine where we're at as a program."

How quickly you forget! Did you BUY IN to our EARLY SUCCESS last year when we were 5-1?

Be very careful what 'litmus test" you are using to evaluate how far OUR CATS FOOTBALL PROGRAM has come, and the "caliber" of SEC opponents we are beating. Be VERY CAREFUL!

We are one game better than I thought we would be. So, to beat Spurrier on the road and the two time East champ is pretty impressive in the first four games.

Pretty happy with the record. Would have been much happier to beat Florida and get that gator off our back. Not as happy with how we got that record. Hate all the second half issues.

Even in the Missouri game we started the second half looking like the same old same old. After 2 three and outs we finally started being more aggressive and put the game out of reach. If we can come out and give 2 good halves, we can beat pretty much anyone left on our schedule. It would be great to be the surprise team in the country and ends up with 8 or 9 wins before the bowl games.
