What are you listening to?

Rudd- what is your vinyl setup? Knowing you, it’s quality but not pretentious, which I respect.

I have my Dad’s old Harman Kardon FXK receiver that he built from a kit circa 1965

I have his Garrard studio series turntable but I’m having trouble finding parts for it so I went with an AT turntable and poured most of my money into a cartridge/stylus upgrade.

(Microline “nude” AT-VMN95ML)

Its comparable to the Ortofon 2M Blue

-im blushing, clown.

-fluance rt81. Audio Technica cartridge (yellow). Klipsh r41-pm powered bookshelf speakers. Does the trick.

-eventually wanna get a tube amp...but low on the fun-money priority list.

Heard Officer of Love by Caamp on the radio, he sounds just like Lou Reed

I've been little by little going through albums and mixtapes from my HS/College/Post grad years (2001 to 2012ish).

I never realized how good Gym Class Heroe's "As Cruel As School Children" was. The Singles were honestly the weaker part. Every other song was fantastic. Won't be for everyone.. but a perfect blend of hiphop and pop.

Dinner tonight, random songs popped in my head...

a couple of Killers songs

Escape by Rupert Holmes

Rocky Mountain Way by Eagles

Strange combo

I’ve been taking deep-dive into some Robin Trower over the last week. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Bridge Of Sighs album, going back to when I first bought it on 8- track in 1975. But I never bought any of his other albums. This past week I bought Twice Removed From Yesterday, Long Misty Days, For Earth Below, and Victims Of The Fury. All great stuff from an extremely underrated power trio. Not sure which is better...Trower’s guitar work or James Dewar’s vocals.

I have been listening to Eric Church's new album's. He has put out one fully and the other has only partially been released. He has a song called Lynyrd Skynyrd Jones that is pretty good.
