Not particularly an Alabama fan(don't dislike them either) but based on what I've seen they are one of the top 4 teams. I don't think they will get in but the National Championship race is better if they do.

Disagree. No team outside the top 4 deserve a shot at the NC. Cinderella stories are cute in basketball. Not football.
Are you telling me that adding Bama and Clemson wouldn't have made for a better playoff?

Don’t have an opinion.

But it’s pretty obvious, TCU could not beat OSU or Alabama or even the Vols for that matter.

Put a gun to Kirby Smart's head. Ask him TCU or Alabama. I bet I know what he would say and it wouldn't be TCU.

I'd like it to go back to 2. This isn't March Madness. This is FOOTBALL.

Every other level of football has a playoff dude, including the NFL. You old time stick up the ass college football purists are nauseating.

You do understand a 12 team to 24 team playoff is the only chance UK has of ever competing for a national title right? You are a fan of UK so again I say get with the modern times.

You called me a "old time stick up the ass college football purist"... and I liked that! Thank you for the compliment.

I'd have gone with 8 or 16. There's already a lack of parity, giving the best teams a bye week will only exacerbate it.
I wanted either 8 OR 12 with 10 conference champion auto-bids. 6 at larges is too many.

And thankfully that line of thinking is dying off. The playoff is going to 12 and maybe one day UK will go to it instead of playing in one of the 100 who gives a crap bowls you probably love.

Say WHAT, man? You want FIVE midmajors in a playoff? There probably shouldn't be a guarantee spot for ONE of the riff-raff, let alone FIVE.

No-one gives a crap about the Citrus Bowl? Well, ok, then.

They need to get rid of these Conference championship games. Kinda BS, teams win their conference, lose and out of the playoffs while other teams on the outside looking in get a boost while sitting at home.

Spare me your lectures. 6 or 8 teams is plenty. More yeams does not mean better.

Outside of the playoff and the other new years 6 they are all glorified exhibitions. Hell even the non playoff new years 6 are.

Why would anyone want a bunch of meaningless bowl games when we can have a playoff or tournament to determine the champ like every other sport and every other level of football.

They already have a playoff. Maybe you hadn't heard up there on your high horse.

Well they are going to 12 so no one cares what u think unfortunately. It will only grow from there.

So you are abother UK fan that is ok with neber competing for a national title since you want the playoff so tiny. We would never make a 6 or 8 team playoff. Our fanbase really does have low expections..

Are you a basketball fan? Do you want "December Madness" with 64 teams? Have you considered the impossible logistics of that?

I'll answer.... I don't want meaningless post season games with players opting out right and left. I don't want a December filled with meaningless 'San Diego credit Union Poinsettia' bowls. I want a playoff with the top 16 teams battling it out. What could be better?

Actually you do. You want to expand the field to 24 so UK might have a chance. You're a everyone gets a trophy Nancy that's afraid of competition.

Figures. Don't want competition to get in. Just let us in. Chicken mentality.

Yeah a joke plus one model that is biased and leaves out more deserving teams due to conference alliances and bias.
UGA and Michigan are clearly the best 2 teams. The rest is just cosmetics for weaklings like you. Waaaah it's not fair. Waaaah everyone should get in.

Eff Alabama and Nick Saban. One of the most corrupt programs in college athletics, the Duke of NCAAF. Saban claiming beating Austin Peay, Ole Miss by 6, and Auburn as reasons to include them in the playoff is just absurd.

Bama has been given two national title spots despite not even winning their own division. They sure as hell do not deserve any consideration with two losses. USC's loss simply bumps Ohio State into the playoff. That's all that should occur from this weekend.

In 2014, everyone here said OSU couldn't beat Bama. Not only did they beat Bama but then the stomped Oregon in the finals.

Everyone always claims no one could possibly beat Bama until they do. Utah did it. Oklahoma did it. Clemson did it multiple times. How many here thought South Carolina would beat Tennessee? Zero.

Bama couldn't beat LSU or Tennessee and needed the refs help to beat a 4-win TAMU. Needed a last second field goal to beat Texas.

Most of college football is simply based on perception.

I mean, it's true. Outside of our fan base no one else cares. Even here, how many of us could tell you the recent Citrus Bowl winners before us? No one without looking it up.

I liked it because our football program has sucked for most of the last few decades but outside of us, no one cares about these types of games. They care about Rose Bowls, Sugar Bowls, Orange Bowls, Fiesta Bowls and the CFP.

1 Georgia
2 Michigan
3 TCU
4 Ohio State
Yeah, I think it will be this simply because they don't want a Michigan/OSU rematch in the semis but they should have them face each other again.

But if OSU miraculously beats Georgia somehow, God, could you imagine the craziness with the Bucs vs Michigan for the national championship? The coverage for this game would be insane. The ticket prices would be off the charts, and some fans would likely be murdered in the parking lot or the days leading up to it.

That's bigger than UNC/Duke basketball.
