Whoa... we have a mixup in the lineup today. Dillon Marsh is leaving the weekend rotation and is pitching this afternoon. UK lineup will look like this:

Daniel
Shinn
Collett
Shelby
Reed
Kessler
Schultz
Ellington
Rodriguez

Let me take that back... I don't know that he won't start this weekend for certain. He only went a couple on Sunday, so they could give him a couple innings today and then basically do like a Johnny Allstaff approach and have him ready again for Sunday. I don't like that idea, but I don't get paid money to coach baseball.

UK trying to make up for yesterday's slow start. A couple errors put on the first two and Collett hits his 5th dinger of the year to make it 3-0 UK in the bottom of the 1st.

Going to review the first out of the 2nd. It was a dying quail that fell in shallow left between Rodriguez and Daniel and ARod picked it up and threw out the runner trying to stretch it into a double.

Between Kessler and Shelby, somebody didn't read the signs right and Kessler is thrown out trying to steal 2nd with Shelby within 10 feet of the bag.

Marsh's body language is much more positive than I remember from previous starts. He pitching confidently and it shows.

Piecoro said the pitcher that just left didn't give up an earned run. Wouldn't the run scored by Collett on the home run be earned?

Hmmm... Didn't they get an error on his foul ball popup? Maybe his run didn't count because he should have been out before getting the home run.

I believe that is correct, but the last 2 the guy gave up were earned.

‪End of 7: #Kentucky 15, WKU 0. ‬

‪Six-run 7th for Cats, who continue their trend of late-inning run production. Fifty-seven of 124 runs this season scored from 7th inning on. ‬
