Westbrook walks off without shaking hands.

Imagine what it's like to be on Westbrook's team? Bust your ass on the defensive end or to get open only to watch the ball hog jack up shot after shot.

We've all played pickup ball with guys like that. I've sat out games just to not get on that guy's team. It's miserable. Imagine having to play nearly 90 games like that.

Lol. I've never had but one handle. Don't have to.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure you haven't.

I thought if Westbrook couldn't get 2 or more games on the Rockets, Harden should get MVP and he only got 1. I do think he year was better, and his team was worse.. but it wasn't much worse, and it's not like the Rockets aren't more or less a bunch of cast-offs. Gordon just happens to have one of the healthiest years of his career..

As good as Westbrook was.. he only got his team to a 6-seed.. and his team really wasn't much worse than Houston's. In some respects, MVP should be a top4 seeded team, and I could even see the argument for being a top2 seed.

Then again, in the essence of the meaning.. Westbrook was truly the Most VALUABLE Player for his team.

But.. Harden for MVP.. I'm biased..

Hockey players shake hands. I know most of you have never seen a hockey game though.
The handshake line after a tough fought series is pretty cool, and engrained in playoff hockey culture. It's neat to see two dudes who've killed each other for several games shake hands and pay respect in the end.

Hockey is awesome. Soccer sucks balls.

Both sports are harmless to me. I'm past caring or getting into those debates. You like what you like. I enjoy Hockey in person, and love the fight in the players.. And had a great time watching Barcelona/Real Madrid the other day..

Still. The fans ruin those sports. I can't stand hearing "Oh the basketball player sprained his ankle? Well in hockey..." or "You don't like soccer because you just don't get it."

Eff those guys..

In rugby they drink with each other after the game and then run trains on women down in the towns, that's the tradition. I don't want to hear about no handshake line.

Well, basketball and hockey are my two favorite sports. I've been to a Manchester United match and although the environment is crazy, the sport is boring as shit to me and does have a lot of the hipster type crowd.

I think most American hockey fans are big fans of other sports though. Soccer is a different breed.

Ha, Soccer fans do seem to be the worst.

I feel like 100% of the basketball fans I know could care less if someone likes the sport or doesn't. So many coworkers are all "There's too much scoring!" and shit. I can't say I 100% disagree.. also can't say I care if they watch the sport..

W2BR has been around here at least as long as I have in one form(username) or another.

I expected more tbh than him trying to call out another poster using real name knowing that's why the poster left the board in the first place but more than that I expected him to pick a poster with at least a more clever name than col angus. **** you

Hockey sucks pucks.
Have you ever been drunk with your friends at a hockey game? You should try it, it's a hell of lot more fun than a football game.

Especially when you're in the front row, hammered, banging on the glass, and watching 2 guys take off their helmet and gloves and start beating the piss out of each other.

If those guys can shake hands, pre-madonna Westbrook should have no problem. Fists hurt worse than words, even without a safe place!

I get why you don't like soccer fans. That sport is boring as hell, and I "get it" (played it in junior high and varsity until I found Lacrosse... but that's neither here nor there.

Hockey fans kinda have a point though. Those guys are tough.

The players should be thanking Westbrook for helping carry their asses into the playoffs....Seriously OKC got outscore by almost 60 points in the 45 mins Westbrook did not play

OR imagine what it is like to be Westbrook and hit guys with pass after pass for wide open shots only to watch nearly every single one clang off the rim, or go to the bench at the beginning of the 4th quarter of Game 5 with a five point lead only to return 2:45 later and be down 5 after the Rockets go on a 14-4 run, or be +1 when you're on the floor for 42 minutes in Game 5, but your team is -18 for the 6 MINUTES you're NOT on the floor!

Dude has his issues with decision making on the court, but it's been several years since I've enjoyed watching someone play as much as I have enjoyed watching Westbrook this season. For him to single-handedly take that lottery-level bad roster to a 6-seed in the playoffs is amazing! He plays hard, he plays every game like it's Game 7 of the Finals, he plays withough fear, and he doesn't give a damn if anyone likes how he rolls or not. He's a throwback to the Golden Age of NBA hoops when dudes would rather punch you before a game than give hugs, exchange secret society handshakes, and blow sunshine up each others ass before the game!

Damn. The love is on this side of the formum I guess. I knew you would see that as I saw what you thought of him on NOB. It was a joke. Chill out. I liked Js. Hell he personally messaged me after he left. Why you have strong hate towards me I have no idea. I'll gladly swear on a bible I have never once used an alternate handle. I don't have to. I don't bring fantasy land or message board forums into real life. I have one. I don't have to rely on my message board street cred so my homies on here no how much of a badass I am.

Westbrook is the real deal. You can hate on him all you want. You would be hard pressed to find a guy with the skills and competitive spirit he has.
