Westbrook walks off without shaking hands.

Probably had to get right to the press area to tell the reporters what they were allowed to ask.
Wonder if his teammates make an ugly face like they just smelled a fart when he misses 20 shots, like he does when they make a mistake

Did you feel the same way win the twins and stein did it? How ya been smooth?

I thought it was disgraceful when the twins did it, totally unsportsmanlike, I would expect it of a Crean led IU team but not of a U.K. Player.
Willie didn't show up for the game so I guess he didn't feel the need to show up for the handshake either.

good for him. **** losing. NBA players don't shake hands anyway. You don't shake hands after pick up games or after NBA games... only in high school and college. It's weird.

Some of those players see each other in passing during post game interviews and talk to each other without cameras. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it although it may not be the best look while the cameras are on.

Don't mind it at all after a contentious playoff series with multiple shots fired and altercations. Lot of history between some of those guys. No need to pretend to respect each other.

What the hell are you talking about? Most players shake hands after a game, and especially when a series is completed.

Only loser losers shake hands after they lose.

Did Jordan ever shake hands after he lost? No... because he never lost. He wanted guys to shake HIS hand. Probably spit in it beforehand, honestly.

They talked stuff all game and all series to him and now he is supposed to be all buddy buddy with them - nah, I don't mind it.

People complaining are probably the same people who want kids to have a participation trophy.

That may well be, but I'll be damned if I've seen such an outrageous discrepancy in +/- when he's on and off the court. It's a damn greek tragedy when he takes a breather. They can't give up a lead fast enough before he checks back in. Fart smeller indeed.

That being said, shake their damn hands ya crybaby.

I never cared for the fake we're all buddies handshakes.
Yep. My son's football team lost a close one this past weekend, 14-13 The other coach was an ass the whole game (I'm defense coordinator).
After the game he yells over; "hey, man...no love or respect where's my handshake" Unfortunately, because I was in front of the kids and they heard...I walked over and played buddy, buddy.

Sports are better when the teams and players dont like each other, that's a fact.

I think it's ridiculous that we have handshake lines in college. The kids are at least 18 years old, if they wanna shake hands after the game that's on them.

Doing well now! What's your take on diallo?

Doesn't bother me for pro athletes. You should probably do it but these are paid professionals. Grown men getting paid to play, so you act the way you want to act. I think it's a bad look for college athletes to not shake hands but I also think that's the coach's job to lead those guys through the handshake.

Westbrook vs Houston 4Q stats:

14-49 FG's
19-27 FT's
4-21 3's
4 assists

Harden:
12-21 FG's
5-13 3's
18-22 FT's
And that right there illustrates most of what is wrong with the Westbrook approach to the game. People are going to point to his crap team, but it goes back to when he was playing with Durant, though obviously the overall volume of shots was far lower. Too many times the 4th quarter of Thunder games becomes the Russ show, and he makes bad decisions trying to be the hero.

Certain people seem to love hero ball players, and I guess it kind of makes sense. It makes for a really simple narrative, ala "Jordan was the GOAT, so he just took the ball and dominated the game". However, that's TOO simple, because the truth is that no one can do that on a consistent basis. Not even Jordan. Basketball is a team game.

Westbrook is truly amazing, and no one should overlook that, but I don't see how you can completely dismiss the idea that his focus on individual brilliance comes with a downside. Hero ball players are never more likely to try to be heroes than when the game is on the line, but that's often the time when it pays to play smarter, not try to take the game over by yourself.

LeBron could have spent his entire career trying to do what Westbrook does. He knows that not only is it incredibly difficult, but that it can be counterproductive in the long run. He's a better player as he is and has been than if he had a few 35/10/10 seasons on his resume', which he probably could if he had wanted it.

You of all people, and I mean all 37 of your screen-names (including, but not limited to, wall2rondo, blacklabelwildcat, allaboutuk, et al) have no business implying that someone has a new identity.
Lol. I've never had but one handle. Don't have to.
