For Duke's sake, I hope you're wrong.I think it could help Kentucky on Giles or Gabriel.

For Duke, Giles and Gabriel are not mutually exclusive. If anything, I think Gabriel would have an effect on Bolden's recruitment for us.
It's weird that K only had 8 scholarship players last year and won a title and now he is stockpiling players?
Giles, Tatum, Jackson, Gabriel, and Bolden are expected to go to Duke.
Thornton, Allen, Jones, Kennard, Jeter, and Obi are expected back.
How does he trim down to a 7-man rotation?
Maybe he expects some of those guys to leave after this year?
Or maybe some of the guys coming in this year aren't as good as advertised.
The season hasn't even started, and you already know Duke's rotation? Kennard will get a chance to earn minutes early if he does well in practice. Matt Jones is a perfect example of the trajectory Kennard can expect to take. Bust your butt in practice and work your way up the rotation. There's a lone bright side to all of this and that's Kennard will be buried on the bench after spurning Kentucky in favor of Duke for fear of being recruited over.
you seem to have it all figured out.Cal is going to try to sell him on playing 3/4 in the frontcourt with Miles Bridges. Bridges would be an excellent complementary player to Gabriel and vice versa.
Gabriel would probably start at UK. He will not start at Duke if they add Giles and Bolden, and Giles and Tatum are elite talents that should be playing 38 mpg, so frontcourt minutes will be scarce. Jeter is already looking to be lost in the shuffle.
Choice is to come to UK, play one year and be a lottery pick, or go to Duke and either get drafted late in first round after first year based on potential, or stay a second year to move into lottery. It's really as simple as that.
Suspect he'll chose Duke regardless. Duke is bringing him in for their version of BBM, and I'm sure they'll have the nerd herd there out in force chanting his name.

Duke is killing it right now, K is getting whoever he wants right now. Heels cannot even get players in our back yard.
