I fixed your post for you.
Louisville fans are very similar to UNC fans with their cognitive dissonance. I suppose at one point in time, they could both make some kind of morally superior argument to UK. And, of course, they did this very thing for years. "Louisville does things the right way" and "The Carolina Way" were the phrases we always heard. Indiana fans back before 2008 made similar comments. They weren't cutting corners or being sleazy. They weren't cheating or paying recruits to come to their school.
Most of their message board posters perfected these kinds of arguments and statements. These were their go-to lines and their primary source materials. But then things changed for them all. IU got caught cheating under Sampson. UNC is now guilty of the greatest academic scandal in the history of college basketball. Louisville got caught with their pants down, not just their coach but their entire team, both literally and figuratively.
Meanwhile, all the predictions of Calipari's wins, Final Fours, and any title he might win at UK being vacated have not come true. In fact, the exact opposite has happened. Kentucky has kept its nose clean and Calipari has developed such a great reputation for doing his job well that the best recruits with the highest character
want to be there. He doesn't have to sell anything to them, pay them, offer them no show classes, or provide them strippers and sexual favors. They want to be there and they sign, and they win.
So, what do these people have left? They can't acknowledge their failures. They can't say they were wrong. All they have now is their own private worlds of cognitive dissonance. That's what I see when I ever dare read anything on their boards. It's sad in a way, but it's also comical.
