Paw Paw took them to 4 straight, which was a nice run since he didn’t have the luxury of the portal to work with.
Bowl games are glorified exhibitions now with opt outs and the playoff.

Believe me I get it, I was at Kentucky starting with the Curry years lol. I just don’t think Stoops is the only one that can be a consistent winner at UK. It doesn’t really matter, with his contract, I see him here for at least the next three years.
Then you understand how many crap FB coaches UK has had.
So many fans think getting a good coach at UK would be very easy. Ask 10 fans and who would be a great coach and get 10 different answers.
Stoops had a terrible year, no doubt.
You saw the Curry years they were bad enough but there were worse coaches at UK.
UK has never been or will ever be a powerhouse program in FB, especially with NIL money now.

I think Stoops is burned out and wants out as bad as many of the fans do.
However, Stoops would be absolutely insane to walk away from all the millions sitting on the table.

Not many but there weren’t many to go to. Pre 90’s the 2018 team would be a shoe in and ‘21 would be 50/50 going to one. There was a time being bottom of the top 20 didn’t automatically correlate to getting in a bowl. The 90’s expanded to 20 bowls when we reached the outback and music city. Then in 05 the most recent bowl era began. 40 bowl games and 12 game to get to 6 for qualification.

There is no magic button that will make UK a football powerhouse. We are a small market baseball team in lexington competing against the Yankees and dodgers in the sec.
So.....we could go on a once every 10-15 year run and challenge for the title?
UK finished 14th n final 2018 rankings. They would have had to finish 11th to make it in (due to group of 5 cupcake auto bid).
