Welcome to BBN Brock.....

I believe its all on Coen now to maximize his talents and here I go again but that has to include using his feet to make plays. I worry Liam has too much NFL in him to want to play from the pocket too much working though too many progressions instead of giving the freedom to just make plays with his feet.

Stetson Bennett wasn't seen as a mobile QB at all and was a game manager at first but his career took off and so did UGA's offense when he started taking off and crushing defenses with his ability to scramble. Same happened with Milrow this year at Bama. He's great athlete but what changed was his willingness to take off earlier and more often and put pressure on the D.

I just think it is mandatory in todays college game and Brock seems to have that skill set, just needs the freedom to make plays.
Obviously Levis had the greenlight in 2021 when Coen was running the show. Scang handcuufed Levis from that standpoint and atrocious OL play caused him to go from 300+ rushing yards on the season to negative rushing yards. I think Leary was adept at escaping the pocket, but I also think they were trying to protect him from another injury as well. You saw some them starting to loosen that up for Leary in the UofL game where he took off a few times for positive gains. granted the couple of sacks he took negated those gains and then some, but to me it just appeared he had more freedom to take off if he wanted. I think a more stout guy like Vandagriff will look more like the 2021 Will Levis.

Think back to Liam's first year at UK with WL at QB when Liam supposedly had total control of the offense.

How big a role did the QB run game play in that 10 win season????

The bigger concern is what (or who) caused LC to completely abandon the QB run game as did Scangs in Levis senior year?

We all know how that turned out.

Just hope LC gets that autonomy to run HIS offense with this new QB.

Leary was always gone. All of his eligibility has expired
I saw where the Ville has a QB coming in the portal that will be in his 7th year! 25 years old. How do guys get 7 years of college ball?

What casses do you take? Most Masters programs are 36 credits.

My guess is Leary’s stature and injury history kept them from designing runs for him. Don’t think he was much of a runner at NC state either. BV is a hoss and should have more freedom to run.

He’s from Athens so he shouldn’t be too redneck.
Well one recruiting guy went to his school to watch him practice and said his truck had blood in the back because he had killed a deer a day or 2 before but hadn't cleaned out the bed yet. That would be plenty redneck by todays standard. LOL.

Yeah. And I see he’s actually from Bogart, Ga so makes sense.

My kind of guy!

That sounds like just the guy we need! He will always be welcomed to come hunt on my property if he wants. There's some sizable bucks running around here that managed to survive the recent rifle season.

Arkansas fans were thinking FSU. He’s from FL and I think has a kid there. That said he could get a lot of carries here so hope we make the pitch
Personally I think Rocket is way too heavy at 240. He didn’t look like the same back at all and I’m sure it didn’t help with his nagging injuries.

The Arkansas OL was horrible but he probably needs to get back around 225 or he’ll just be a shell of himself again

Maybe that’s because Levi’s was playing hurt

Hit the deer on the run with a football from 50 yards ,killed it graveyard dead

Not going to rewatch but I think this was the guy talking about the deer. LOL But I do remember this dude likes him regardless... whole family actually.
