SEC seeding is way too complicated so I'll focus on NCAA seeding. If we find a way to go 2-0, none of this will matter because I think we'd be locked into at least the 3-line regardless, but here we go.

Smaller list of teams we're competing with on the 2-5 lines at this point in the season. I'd say most have Michigan St, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Saint John's, and maybe Texas Tech ahead of us, with Michigan, A&M, Purdue, Arizona, Clemson, Maryland, Missouri the teams behind us that could conceivably catch us. I don't think anyone in the next group of teams (Marquette, Oregon, Louisville, St. Mary's, Ole Miss, MSU, Illinois etc) will be able to pass us.

Of those 13 teams I listed (including us), there are two 2 seeds available, all of the 3 and 4 seeds, and three 5 seeds.

Team to root for is listed first.

Monday
Houston vs. Kansas (KU is too far back to pass us, but I'd hate for them to win this and jump back closer to the 5/6 line and be a potential 2nd round matchup)

Tuesday
Rutgers @Purdue
Auburn @Texas A&M
BYU @Iowa State
Arizona State @Arizona

Wednesday
Maryland @ Michigan (either of these teams could pass us but Michigan is probably on the 4 line now with Maryland closer to a 5)
Boston College vs. Clemson
Colorado @Texas Tech
Oklahoma vs. Missouri
Minnesota vs. Wisconsin
Uconn vs. Marquette (although don't think Marquette could catch us).

Thursday
Iowa vs. Michigan State

Friday
Illinois vs. Purdue

Saturday
Marquette vs. St. Johns
Arkansas vs. Mississippi State
Penn State @Wisconsin
Kansas State vs. Iowa State
Northwestern @Maryland
LSU vs. Texas A&M
Kansas vs. Arizona
Virginia Tech @Clemson
Arizona State vs. Texas Tech

Sunday
Michigan State vs. Michigan

In general, there aren't a lot of major needle-moving wins available for the teams we're competing with, other than A&M vs. Auburn, Purdue @ Illinois, St. Johns @ Marquette, Arizona @Kansas, and Michigan @Michigan State. There are a lot of landmine games for some of these teams, so even if we go 1-1, I would say a 3 seed is still potentially on the table if we can get 1-2 games in the SEC tourney.
