Just a sidenote on that Gonzaga - ST. Mary's game last night.... it's very difficult to beat a good team 3 times in one season, I don't care how good a team is. If the other team is any good AT ALL, it is very, very difficult to beat them 3 times in one year. I guess St. Mary's found that out last night.

Food for thought if we get to face Bama'......

And will the Zags get at least a 7 seed by winning it? I guess it'll depend on all the other potential 7 seeds and what they do in the various conference tournaments. Everyone else seems to have them as an 8 seed, and whatever the seed is they get, it'll be the lowest seed they've had since what, 2016?

I'm thinking the Zags will be a deadly opponent for some random 2 seed this year, if they get a 7 seed. 8 seed might produce an even bigger upset if they get that, I wouldn't be surprised. I still think they will probably end up a 8 seed in that 8/9 matchup with an interesting opponent. It's going to be interesting to see the Zags draw this year.....

They definitely moved off of the 8 line now. Dangerous 7 seed.

J Williams said Gonzaga was an elite 8 team last night- not sure about that- neither team could make a 3 point shot last night

And the day has begun !

Richmond surging ahead of Davidson 30 - 24 2:45 first half.
Tip off between the ramblin wreck from Georgia Tech vs. Virginia has begun (first to 50 points wins?)

For the first time in a long while they will have to earn their way to a sweet 16 though.

I have to give Cal some credit (I guess). He lost his two best players and they have actually performed better and won more games.

Arkansas has a ton of talent. Wagner, Knox, and Richmond are highly rated recruits. Big Z is an nba draft pick. Johnell Davis was a top transfer portal player. Brazile might be the most athletic player in the country, and was thought to be off to the nba a few years ago. Aidoo was all SEC. There’s a reason they were predicted as a top 10 team before the season.

Colgate's season is over after losing to American in their tournament. Just sidenoted as another one of those teams we played ...

Colgate had made the NCAA tournament each year since 2019 (except 2011) ... now 5 of the last 7 seasons. They played us tough. we learned from them. Good for us to have played.

As far as the Hogs are concerned, I was absolutely wrong that they'd wilt and run out of fire to actually play up to their actual ability this year for Cal. There's no question his players are talented, the problem is getting them to actually play UP to the expectations, not play down to them.

I'd absolutely LOVE to play them in the SEC tournament finals. Let them win their meaningless games until it will apparently matter to them. NOW THAT I would love to see. I wonder if it would mean anything should they play, say Kentucky .... in the SEC tournament.

Of course, NO, is the short (but, whatever) answer
