They aren't overrated, they are under coached. They're freshmen, they're outstanding talents, they need to be developed for play at this level. Not every highly rated player is ready to play at this level. Cal has a very spotty record of developing players, especially bigs. And don't throw out Boogie, AD and KAT, they were ready made players.

Once we have a full team his excuse will be we have only played together as a full squad a couple of times. We don’t communicate well on defense plus he likes to use they were more physical and aggressive than we were and it’s true. We have dogs, but their pups. Lucky to go 5-5 to finish regular season.

Actually since he misses 4 layups a game, those should count as turnovers. I mean, really. LAYUPS? By a professional? Even if you count each missed layup as HALF a turnover, he's got the worst rate on the team. NO excuse for missing those.

Whatever his strengths and weaknesses are, ultimately, its the coach who dictates minutes, and in-game match-ups…

Wagner is one of best 5 players. But he isn't the answer to anything . I like him but its the same as when folks were saying Thiero return was answer .

That said we are definitely better with him playing I hope he returns next game...

I'm not saying anything that isn't true, and I definitely think he should play. I'm just not sold on him starting and running point. His PG stats are atrocious. His FOW accolades are in the distant past. There's a book on him - he always drives to his left and tries to finish with his left hand, and he misses a lot of layups and can't shoot the outside shot. He also telegraphs when he's going to drive. He's easy to prepare for and one dimensional.

I think he’s the difference maker in the last two games that we’ve lost at home. It is what it is and I can’t change anything but my own health. I’ll follow the CATs but I’m not investing anymore energy into this season.

It's a damn shame that this is where I'm at as well. I was having the most fun watching this team until League play started.
