Simmons basically a non factor considering he has been called the greatest high school player since Lebron and he sat 1/2 the first half. Couple that with the fact his name hasn't been called the last 10 minutes oft he game. And we were competitive for about 8 minutes of this game.
Not sure how we win more than 2-3 road games, especially with the emergence of USC. Not blaming the coach or the players, just making an observation. We are not very good right now. Maybe we will be in 8 weeks - maybe we won't.
Losing I expect, unlike others. However, this type of timid performance I don't expect.

beat by a whole team who looks across at our guys and sees no one worth worrying about on the other side, offensively or defensively. They are downright bad away from home, a legitimately sub-NIT level team.

We're two different teams. One is UCLA, Ohio St., and LSU. The other is Duke, Louisville, and Miss ST. Cal's gotta figure out how to get them to be the better version consistently. If I knew how to do that, I'd be in the HoF.

if we could somehow play no road games, that would work great

Very disappointing tonight, but I'm not giving up hope.

If our young guys decide to play hard from the opening tip, we can beat anyone left on our schedule. OK, Kansas is a real long shot, but we have as much or more talent than everybody else we will face.

Got to find a way to get us to play at that level consistently. Very tough to do, but Cal is the absolute best at getting young teams to gel at tournament time.

Got to hope he is able to repeat it again this year.

Clearly the bigger athletic team. When Lee and Poythress play stupid with fouling for no apparent reason. We are toast.

Poythress IS stupid on the court. Maybe if he wasn't so smart off the court he'd be a better ball player.

You and me been around here a long time. It is very plain to me that unless Skal improves, we go no where. We have NO low post threat, 2 of our starters can't hit a free throw, and as of this point Briscoe provides nothing, other than defense, so we are basically playing 2 on 5 when we are on offense. The switching man defense just don't work against some teams, LSU got in the lane at will, scored 44 points in the paint. This team is just lost right now. We are a very unbalanced team, with only two skilled players, and only one guy that can get his own shot, that is Murray, who plays too out of control too much.

Just lots of holes in this team.

Someone always plays out of their ass against UK. Nothing new. He won't play anywhere close to the way he did tonight for the rest of the season. Also nothing new.
